These shorts from Magcomsen fit exactly the way I hoped they would. I usually wear a small, and with a lot of athletic shorts even a small ends up being loose in the waist and sliding down. That is not the case here. The elastic waistband actually fits my waist properly, and the shorts stay in place even before tightening the drawstring. The drawstring is still a nice addition though, especially for running or more active gym sessions when you want everything locked in. Functionally, these are great workout shorts. The three zippered pockets are a standout feature and make them much more practical than most lightweight athletic shorts. I can comfortably carry keys, a phone, energy gels, or earbuds without worrying about anything bouncing out while running or lifting. That alone makes them a solid choice for gym, trail running, and cardio days. The fabric feels light and breathable, which works well for summer workouts or indoor training. They move easily with your body and do not feel restrictive, making them well suited for running, hiking, or general gym use. I also like that they come in multiple colors, which makes it easy to grab more than one pair once you know the fit works for you. Overall, these are well-fitting, functional shorts that actually deliver on the basics. Pricewise, these are fairly priced at 25 dollars and about typical for this type of short, but less than any brand name and much more functional. For anyone who struggles with athletic shorts that run too big in the waist, these are worth a look, especially for trail running, hiking, and gym use. Read more

These are a really solid pair of men’s active shorts and they feel well made right out of the package. The fabric is lightweight, smooth, and comfortable against the skin, and it dries quickly, which makes them a good choice for workouts, hiking, or warm-weather activities. The 7-inch length feels just right — not overly long and not short enough to feel awkward — and they allow easy movement without riding up or feeling restrictive. The elastic waistband with drawstring is comfortable and stays put, and the stitching throughout looks clean and secure. The yellow color stitching is placed strategically and gives a subtle, updated look to the shorts. The zippered pockets are one of the standout features. All three pockets have zippers, and they are deep enough to hold a phone or keys securely without worrying about anything falling out during activity. The fabric is thin but performs well, and after laundering once, it held its shape and showed no issues. Overall, these feel like dependable, functional shorts that are designed for actual use rather than just looks. Pros: • Lightweight, quick-drying performance fabric • Comfortable elastic waist with drawstring • True-to-size fit with good mobility • Three zippered pockets that keep items secure • Clean stitching and solid construction • Good length for workouts, hiking, or casual wear Cons: • Fabric is thin, which may not appeal to those wanting a heavier short • Price may feel slightly high compared to basic gym shorts Read more

These are nice shorts, exactly as described in the product description and pictures. The branding is on the inside of the shorts, and there are tags indicating the fabric composition (92% polyester, 8% spandex). There is also a universal care tag (40°C max; gentle cycle), which indicates that the material can be washed in warm water rather than strictly cold. This will be nice if these are used as hiking shorts. The material is truly lightweight and similar to REI shorts I already own, and I am confident they will wick well and dry quickly. The pockets are a nice touch. They are deep enough to hold my phone securely, and all three pockets (two front/side and one back) have solid zippers. The shorts are well finished, with no loose threads or anything to snag, which I often see with products at this price point. The pockets are reinforced, and tight stitching is used throughout. These are going to last me for years. The fit is true to size. I am 5'10" and weigh about 190 lbs. I ordered a size large, and they fit well at the waist, not loose or tight. In addition to the comfortable elastic waistband, there is a drawstring. The cord is long enough that I do not see it ever coming out in the wash. The shorts hit an inch or so above the knee, which is right where I would expect for hiking shorts (they fit me like they fit the model in the product description despite our different body types). I’ve been using these MAGCOMSEN hiking shorts for workouts, running, and casual outdoor activities, and they’ve been very comfortable. The fabric is lightweight and dries quickly, which helps a lot during warm weather or intense movement. The 7‑inch length feels just right and allows easy mobility without feeling restrictive. The three zipper pockets are a big plus and keep items secure during activity. The fit is true to size with a relaxed athletic feel, and the navy color looks clean and versatile. While the material is thin, it performs well for active use. Overall, these are reliable shorts for workouts, hiking, or everyday summer wear. Read more
