I am 5'4, 160lb. ordered a large, fit perfect. Wore for a snowstorm and kept me warm. I had 2 light layers underneath that included under armor pants and thin hiking pants and this was perfect and waterproof. Was outside sledding in the snow and worked out very well. Was dry underneath and the large was good for layering. I am usually a medium/large and went bigger due to layering. Read more

I am not good at leaving reviews but these fleece lined pants made me break out of my shell. I LOVE these! They fit perfectly, true to size and length, plus they keep me warm while I go on my daily walks in 20 degree weather. I've also worn them while playing with my telescope for two to three hours in very cold temps. They keep me warm and comfy and allow me to move around, bending, reaching, and sitting to watch the stars. I don't know that they have any stretch in them, but they move with me without a problem. I bought a few pairs of these pants for hiking in Canada and they were WONDERFUL. The temps were in the 30s with snow and wind, but I never felt like I needed to wear thermal pants underneath. Sizing was spot on. I’m between a 6 and 8, bought the medium and it fit great. Loved having zippers on all the pockets, plus the inside is fleece lined as well. The pants had good stretch to them as we were hiking everyday. The snow/water never penetrated through the pants-I was warm and dry no matter where we were hiking. I sat in some snow to rest and again, no moisture got through. Overall, these pants are everything you would need in winter, especially if you’re hiking! I love the fabric. I love the color. I think these pants are well made. The pair I received had a button closure instead of the hook closure but I’m fine with that. They look and feel great. Definitely intended for casual outdoor cool weather use. Not dressy at all but not too casual. You could run errands and not feel self conscious about how you look. I’m sure with a base layer I would be able to go out for my walk even when the temperature drops below zero. AI and the size chart had me believing that I should order a M. I usually wear a M so that seemed correct. In jeans I comfortably wear a size 8. I don’t like my clothes too tight but also don’t like them to look too loose. I like my pants to fit like slacks regardless of the style or fabric. These are the correct length for me. They hit the top of my foot which is the length I prefer. They are quite large on me in the waist, hips and bum. I will probably reorder in a S. Follow up: I don’t think I am a small person but I guess I am. The size S fits perfectly in the waist and the length is perfect too. I’m 5’4” 120 lbs. just shy of 70 years old .
