My mother drinks a smoothie everyday because she's in her 90s, and it's just an easy way for me to get all her nutrients into her during the day. So we were going on vacation and I bought this blender, but unfortunately it really doesn't work. I had to constantly press the start button. It would run for a few seconds. And then it would shut off, and after about 5 times doing that, it ran out of battery even though it was on a full charge. I had to do this every day for 5 days. I also had to purchase the 22 oz. Cup, because the cup that comes with it is just too small. The idea of the blender is fabulous, it's super easy to carry around. It's got a nice handle on it. It makes it easy to carry and hold while drinking. And one of the reasons I bought it was because it was such a good price. But unfortunately, it doesn't even come close to meeting the needs of what I needed it to do, which is just blend a smoothie with frozen fruit. It will not do it.
