The MAGID M-Gard gloves are made of lightweight 18 gauge knit with polyurethane coating on the palms. They are rated ANSI 2011 Cut Level 2, ANSI 2016 Cut Level A1 and ANSI Puncture Level 3. The sizing chart seems accurate and they are light and comfortable to wear. I've been using these mostly for yard cleanup of downed limbs and weeding. They've been comfortable enough to wear in the heat for decent periods of time and provide just enough grip as I have neurapothy and struggle with numb fingertips and gripping properly. A nice surprise was coming across blackberry bushes on our property but they were intertwined with poison oak and thorned weeds of some sort. These allowed me to navigate through it all and helped avoid thorns cutting into my fingers. The knit part on the wrists of the gloves didn't come up as far as I needed to keep my arms from being completely exposed to the poison oak or thorns and the knit portion did get snagged a couple times on thorns but these aren't intended or marketed as being used for this endeavor. They helped enough though to navigate carefully through the thorns to get a nice bucket of berries so I was pleased. I made sure to soak them in special soap made for removing poison ivy/oak oils and gave them a wash on gentle cycle which gave me a chance to test out how they handled being washed. I let them air dry in the sun for an hour then hung them in the shade and they came out just fine. I'll continue to use these for sure. Read more

These gloves were true to size and they are comfortable. I could see using these for certain use cases but others, no. I handled some plastic bird spikes and I could feel the prick of the spike but not as much as handling the spikes without the gloves on. So, for a use case of handling sharp, pointy things, I would recommend using a different type of glove. I sliced at one of the gloves several times with a fairly sharp knife and put enough pressure to slice through a potato and it only showed minor damage to the top coating. The fabric was unaffected along with the undercoating inside the glove. The package comes with the cancer warning required by the state of California so don't eat these gloves and maybe wash your hands after using them. Read more

These MAGID ROC80T Ultra Light ANSI Cut Level 2 PU Palm Glove, Large, Black arrived quickly after ordering. The immediate fit check of the gloves was perfect - the large size fit my hands perfectly with a very adequate elasticized cuff covering at least 2-3 inches of my wrist. The polyurethane coating of the palm-side and fingers of the gloves provided excellent dexterity and grip without feeling stiff or bulky. I was impressed to see an ANSI rating of "2" for Cut resistance, but I am not an expert on reviewing the compliance with this standard. Same goes for the EN388 Cut Level rating of "3" - nice to see. but I am not familiar with the standard. The woven fiber-blended shell was comfortable, lightweight and cool (temperature), and comparable to wearing a heavyweight nitrile glove in comfort and dexterity. The polyurethane coating will protect your hand from immediate contact with fluids - just don't let them drip to the uncoated side (back) of the glove where they may seep through. Similarly, be sure to check to see what fluids or materials are not compatible with polyurethane and don't use these gloves if you expect to encounter these fluids or materials. Overall, a very comfortable, flexible and well-made glove, perfect for automotive, garden, plumbing or woodworking chores around the shop or home. Read more

Well-made gloves, particularly the extra long snug yet comfortable cuff. My complaint is how it's advertised as a cut resistant glove. On the ANSI scale it's only a 2 out of 5 (5 being the best). This glove should instead be advertised as simply a lightweight glove with excellent dexterity and grip. Perhaps they're marketing it as cut resistant so they can charge more. Note also: it's particularly important to measure your hand to identify your size. The large size is larger than most large-size gloves. Not recommended at this price. Read more

These gloves are certainly nice to wear. The fingers were a bit long for me, so manual dexterity wasn't quite right in tight spaces, but that's to be expected. The grip feels nice and stable as well. My concern is for the durability. They feel very thin, and under certain use cases would likely get worn pretty quick. Extreme temperatures, or pointy/scratchy things. If you just need something to give you better grip and protect from incidental injury, these would be fantastic. Wood working, roofing, plumbing, these sorts of things, the gloves are great for. If you intend to be working in extreme conditions, or putting a lot of wear on them quickly (ultra-cold freezers, yard work, et cetera), they probably won't hold up very well. But honestly, for the price, even if they don't hold up, it's still a pretty good deal, and more durable gloves you're going to lose some tactile feedback and dexterity, so I would say these are a good buy. The gloves fit my hands well, better than several other PU covered gloved I've bought. I used these to remove/add my mower blade to my mower (for sharpening). They work very well for this use case. The "grip" these provide is a little less "tacky" than some others I've bought, which might be by design. Being Level 2, they're thick enough to product my palms and fingers while working with a mower blade (dulled and sharpened) with a fair bit of confidence. I didn't have to worry too much about cutting myself, but that doesn't mean you can abandon caution altogether. The weave on top doesn't allow air flow as well as I'd like, so I wouldn't suggest these for longer term wear while sweating (I was changing the blade in my open garage in the hot/humid Florida summer.
