I REALLY wanted to like these gloves. And there's a lot to like: * Padded Palms * Protective Rubber on the back of the hand * Hook-and-loop wrist straps * And they just plain LOOK COOL! Unfortunately, they do have a problem. I tested them out while replacing the muffler on my wife's minivan, and by the time I was done, 3 of my knuckles were really SORE. The problem is: the protective rubber strips on the backs of the fingers have alternating solid sections and sliced sections. If your knuckles line up with the sliced sections, where the gloves flex very well, then there is no problem. But if your knuckles line up with the solid chunks of rubber, like a couple of mine did, then the glove will press hard against your knuckle every time you close your grip. The first photo shows the solid chunk of rubber pressing against the second knuckle of my left index finger when I make a fist. I tried to correct this problem by slicing the solid chunk of rubber so that it can flex across my knuckle. Hopefully you can see what I mean in the second and third photos. This seemed to help a lot, but my knuckle was already really sore by this point. I wish they would have designed the rubber to be sliced down the full length of each finger instead of having solid chunks of rubber. It was foolish for them to assume that everyone's knuckles are always in the same exact place. Hopefully they revise the design going forward. What a bummer... this one problem may be enough to keep me from using them anymore. On the plus side, my hands didn't get scratched, cut, or bruised during my muffler replacement project. So the gloves did their job. They just didn't do it comfortably. A couple other things worth mentioning: * The gloves didn't seem to breathe very well. My hands were pretty sweaty by the time I was done. * The chunkiness of the fingertips do interfere with your ability to grab small items. There is many things to like about these MAGID TRX606L Primal Series gloves. The TPR material is pliable and softly dense that will protect the back of your hands well. There are three fingers on each glove that have a special reflective material sewn together. Mind you, these are not touch screen tips. I ordered a size Large based on the sizing chart. I measured it at exactly 9 inches with a tape wrapped around my hand. Wished they also used your fingertip length as a measurement for sizing. My fingertips are at the very end of the gloves. There is no room for flexing. I am hoping with more wear, the gloves will naturally stretch a bit. I do like the tight fit around the hand and the velcro strap locks the gloves well. Nice looking in all black color scheme. 4.5 Stars. Wish the fingers were longer. Read more
