These work great, very strong hold. I use them in the kitchen to hang pot-holders and dish towels, and on interior steel doors you can hang a coat, jacket, a shirt or a wreath, lots of options. Not easy to just accidentally knock off. They have a very tight magnetic grip. Just be careful about sliding them around on your metal surface... they can easily scratch your appliances or doors. Holy cow these magnets are strong. I just wanted them to hang my coat on in my new office. They are perfect. The weight capacity of these things is far beyond my needs. These magnets are very strong, I can barely pull them off. The people saying they don't work don't understand the physics of how magnets work. You can't attach to a thin veneer on a stainless steel refrigerator or hollow door and expect it to hold a full backpack. You must have a sufficient thickness of iron/steel for there to be good magnetic attraction, so like a steel doorjamb or heavy steel door. Then it works like a dream. Read more

The quality of these magnets is great. I was so excited about these hooks, I just knew they would be strong enough to hold heavier things, and I am pretty sure they would be, however; I never even considered they would weigh 1 1/4 pounds, which is just too heavy for the checked luggage limit, I struggle enough keeping it in range, LOL. And to run around the airport with them in my personal bag would be much too heavy as well. I wanted to have some use for them, but unfortunately, I do not have anything metal to use them on at home. I think they would be great if one wanted to use them on a metal tool cabinet to hang things on it. They would be great if you don't have to fly to get to the cruise port. Read more
