[UPDATE June 21, 2023] I changed my review from 4 stars to 5 because if used directly on the metal disc it holds very strongly. I was hoping I could put the disc on my phone and then put the phone case on and still use it. The magnet is not quite strong enough to hold in that case, but if you attach the metal disc to the outside of the case (if there's room), then it holds very well. Original review follows: Installation was easy and the magnetic base holds the phone securely over bumps etc *IF* I remove the phone case, but I'd rather not have to do that every time I want to use it in the car. With the case on the phone (it's a larger phone, the TCL 10L with 6" screen) falls off pretty easily. Maybe the base could be larger? The magnets are strong but could stand being even stronger. It doesn't say what kind of magnets they are using, but I suspect they are not neodymium. Neodymium magnets are crazy strong. Like one the size of a quarter can support over 100 pounds. Read more

This is a great looking, unobtrusive, nice little device. The magnet holds my Samsung S22 pretty good for normal driving and keeps the phone firmly on place. The only issue I have is wireless charging is hampered by the metal piece you have to attach to the back of the phone or cover. So I either have to take off the cover or use a plug when charging. Others, it works fine and plan on giving one to my daughter. Read more
