Very sturdy and well-made! The spring is quite strong so if you have a larger tablet or screen with a plastic case, I'd be worried about it damaging it or squeezing the screen too hard. If I did my measurement correctly, it applies about 5kg/11lbs of clamping force between the jaws at max extension (~10"/26cm). For 7-8" extension it doesn't seem to be too bad at all. At least you know it will grip it well! The gripping arms are slightly angled inwards and have rubber for even better grip. For the articulating arm, the linkages are milled aluminium and the middle clamping section seems to be cast. The steel base plate is 1mm thick and is a strong magnetic bond with the arm. No complaints about build quality at all! It comes with three screws and anchors, while the base plate only has two screw holes. Extras are always welcome, but part of me wishes there were four so I could have a second set for a second location to mount the plate. That's kind of a questionable value when only one actual plate is provided, so I'll just sit happily with the extra hardware. Works perfectly with my 10" tablet and my 13" portable monitor. The media could not be loaded. This is an incredibly strong screen holder. I needed something that magnetized to my gym equipment so that I could play my workouts from my phone or iPad. The magnet is incredibly strong. It also has a strong grasp on the screen. I did have an otter box screen protector plus walled on my phone and it still was deep enough to hold it in its graspers. I love that I can rotate the screen or tilt it based on where I am set up. This doesn't fall at all during its use unlike the ones that suction.
