This NATDETC magnetic pillow stand is either the worst thing that’s ever happened to my bedtime routine or an absolute miracle, still deciding! Ha! It’s kind of ugly and definitely takes up more space than a normal human needs for scrolling their phone, but it does work. I have a bad case of tech neck and this thing has been a lifesaver when I’m lying in bed doom scrolling. Being able to go completely hands-free and relax my neck instead of craning it forward or down is fantastic. I’ve only used it with my iPhone in a MagSafe case so far, but the magnetic hold has been solid. For non-MagSafe users, the seller does include adhesive magnets. I haven’t used it with a tablet, and I don’t plan on using the snack tray for food since I don’t eat in my bedroom. That said, the tray is still handy for holding small items like my glasses, my lip gloss, or random bedside clutter I want close by. Overall, it feels well made, but I do question how the faux leather pillow will hold up long-term. My main functional gripe is that my very normal-height tumbler interferes with adjusting the phone angle, and the tray can feel a little tippy with the heavy weight on one side. Ok, I love this thing. I have chronic conditions that mean I spend a lot of time in bed. That means a lot of tv bingeing, doom scrolling and switch playing. I've seen a lot of these but never got one because I just wasn't sure it would be worth it, but holy smokes this made a day stuck in bed a lot less obnoxious. . I have cats, and a variety of blankets and pillows and such so my bed is never really just mine. This held up well to a day in bed, and my only real complaint is that attachment that holds the device. Overall, it's great- there's a ton of flexibility for the position of your phone or ipad- but I use a popsocket that sticks out JUST enough when collapsed that the head of the holder won't grab the magnet behind it. Fortunately, because it's assembled with a ball-head joint I was actually able to swap it out with another phone holder I got to try on my wheelchair that didn't work as a mount. The head of that one swapped easily onto this and now it's perfect for my setup. . Overall, I will say, I don't know how well the material of the pillow part will hold up over time, it doesn't exactly feel... cheap but It also doesn't feel super durable. But I am glad to have it, and it was really helpful to keep me distracted on a pretty bad health day. . I'd like to see these made with a different head configuration than just the flat filled circle for folks with popsockets, and maybe a more durable material on the pillow part but generally- not a bad buy. I didn't expect it to be this bulky. I wanted something to prop my phone while in bed and just don't think it's good for that. It doesn't appear to be easy to clean since I couldn't pull the white part out. I do like how it came with magnets to stick to your phone if you don't have a magsafe case. I use my iPad mini for everything…email, texts, watching tv, online shopping, etc. This stand is so comfortable to plop in my lap, attach my MagSafe-covered iPad, and use my, now free, hands to type, scroll, whatever. I’m not so sure I’ll be using the little cubbies for holding food or drink as the way I have mine set up (fully extended) makes the cubbies less accessible. The cup holder is large enough for most cups and even has a little notch for the cup’s handle. The food side is a bit small. You can take the iPad arm off, if you just want a couch drink/food holder. You can unlock the holder plate by unscrewing it from the bottom. The main arm rotates up or down, the extender arm can make it longer, change the angle, and hold the magnetic attachment. The magnetic attachment is a basic ball joint with a pretty strong magnet and it can also be rotated in myriad directions. Just in case you don’t have a MagSafe case or newer iPhone, the manufacturer includes 3 metallic rings that adhere to your device(s). (I’ve had a similar ring on an older iPad mini case, and it’s still sticking strongly). I think this may become a regular on my road trips because, at night, I can now have my ipad in bed and lie on my side while watching tv or reading, at whichever angle I choose.. I really love this pillow stand and use it all the time for relaxing in bed or on the couch. The magnetic mount works great for my phone — it holds securely, adjusts easily, and makes watching videos or scrolling completely hands-free. The pillow base itself is comfortable, sturdy, and well-made, and the snack tray is a fun bonus that I didn’t realize I’d use as much as I do. My only downside is when it comes to using a tablet. While the magnetic mount is strong, I don’t feel like it fully supports the weight of my tablet as well as I’d hoped. It works, but I find myself wishing I had ordered the version with the tablet mount instead. This stand has been absolutely perfect for my 12‑year‑old daughter. She uses it every day, and it’s made her screen time so much more comfortable and organized.
