We bought this to put behind a sectional couch and it works very well. Built in outlets on top are very handy. Even though the outlets are shown on the ends of the table, you can put them either end or the middle, just swap the boards around how you want them. They are very narrow and if you are using them as hallway tables you will want to use the safety anchors that secure to the wall. The two tables do not secure together, so if you want them that way you would need to drill holes and secure them together. Assembly was relatively easy with good instructions. Color: 20W_BlackVerified Purchase the materials are very sturdy/durable. assembly was easy but time consuming...you have a LOT of allen wrench bolts. there are two at every junction so very stable, but a lot of screwing in. if you have an electric allen wrench tool use it. note there are spares so if you lose a few you will be ok. took me about 2 hours by hand. be careful to make sure the pieces are in the right up/down orientation - i was trying to be careful but still got it wrong twice and had to unbolt the whole piece and rebolt it (both). it's very narrow, so easy to knock over. comes with some straps to secure it to a wall if you have it next to one. i put it behind my couch against the wall, but there's trim at the floor level so it rocks when my couch moves back. no big deal for me, but wouldn't put anything that could spill or get knocked over (like a plant). why i docked one star: this is not 1 long table. it is two short ones. there is nothing included to link them together. i suppose you could use some zip ties if you want to. and the top of each table is 3 pieces of wood - they don't butt together so there is small gap (about 1/8") between them. and finally a couple of the holes weren't aligned and was very difficult to get the bolts in. note too that the cables are very thick and heavy duty (the replacements i ordered - see below - were much easier to work with). initially i gave this 3 stars. neither of the 2 outlet pieces worked. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THEM BEFORE YOU SCREW THEM ON! i tried to take one apart to check the wiring, but two of four screws refused to budge. so i had two tables with no plugs, no USB plugs, and that was a real selling point for me. I got one working by wiggling the cable around a bit, but that seemed like a real fire hazard. the other one just wouldn't work at all. BUT customer support was AWESOME! i had posted a question asking about the dimensions of the holes (since i had already screwed mine in and didn't want to unscrew to measure them) because i was looking for a replacement that i could swap out. they responded almost immediately... ...moreover, when i contacted them telling them the electrical parts didn't work, they said they didn't have any in their stock, but would refund me $30 to buy something on amazon. when i asked they gave me a picture of a product (but i still had to dig around: CCCEI Recessed Power Strip with 20W USB C Port, Fast Charging USB A Port Desk Outlet model# 023BSTC-20W asin B09BN95V5J you can search for that on amazon). this one had 2 outlets, 2 USB A, and one USB C. moreover they increased my refund offer to $40. so these ended up costing just over that with tax, no big deal. there was one without the USB C for a couple dollars less. so amazon delivered those same day and they both worked and i replaced them and all is good. i will say that the plug for that outlet strip has a diagonal connection so it will stack one over the other but makes the socket next to it hard to access for larger plugs (like home speakers). overall the service gets another star. just not perfect 5 stars because of the things above. Easy to assemble. Was Missing pieces in the original delivery but Amazon resolved that. Still missing pieces in the second delivery compared to the instructions, however, compared to the photo the pieces are not included which are the small corner support pieces. Quality is good for the price point. Be aware it's not one solid long plank, it's split in three which can be seen in the photo. I was expecting a large box and a smaller one arrived. We installed this between our couch and the wall for added cup storage. Sturdy enough to not spill drinks, however if this was free-standing I would be concerned of the shelf tipping over if accidently bumped. As I was assembling this I had immediate concerns it was not tall enough, after using this product I prefer the height since this reduces the drinks easily tipping over onto the couch. I should have more thoroughly read the reviews- maybe I'd have found something I liked better. When it arrived, it was in a small square box which instantly concerned me. I assumed the top was one long piece. Instead, it's 3 pieces you fit together. The design doesn't line up on either table top, which makes it odd looking. Maybe that seems like nitpicking, but it's something I really don't care for. Fortunately, it's behind the couch and isn't too big of a deal. Secondly, the outlets and USB ports on one of the two tables don't work. It was one of the reasons I chose these tables, as we have little room or outlet access where I put the tables. So being unable to use 2 outlets and 2 ports out of 4 is a real downside for me. I chose to give the tables 3 stars anyway as they were easy to assemble, they are sturdy and stable, and they mostly serve their purpose. I wouldn't call them worth the money, but that was my fault for not looking for something else. Instead, I was seeking the particular color because it matches our tables and TV stand. Lesson learned. I love this thing! I’m a new mom, breastfeeding a newborn and I’m pretty much stuck to the couch whether I’m pumping, feeding the baby, or nap trapped. Love this behind my couch. I got a double and it’s perfect. So nice and convenient to have the plug and charger built in to the tables and super accessible to people sitting on the couch.
