I wanted to smooth my midsection and solve the muffin top problem when wearing my jeans. Mission accomplished! For work, I'm standing, but it's even comfortable when sitting. I'm 160 lbs., 5'3", so got the XL. The fit is perfect. The crotch closure is workable. No wedgies. The stitching and material are very good quality. If you are normal or long waisted this will not work for you as the straps will not have enough adjustment room for you. I'm a bit short waisted and the straps are at their max length. I was surprised how much I liked this. I'm about a 14/16, (180ish pounds) with trouble in my tummy area. This is completely invisible under your clothes and stays put, which I really appreciated. The straps are adjustable as well. It's not gonna make you look like a size 2, obviously but it smoothed me out and made me look "slimmer". It didn't completely smooth my back but it did help a lot and overall it looked way better than not wearing it. I was able to get into a size 12 dress wearing this. The only down side is that it's gonna get uncomfortable after a few hours. My ribs were a little sore from all the squeezing, but it stays tight throughout the night. Just thought I'd mention this as well, my wonderful boyfriend accidentally threw it in the wash with other clothes, AND dried it.. I for sure thought it was ruined but to my shock it wasn't and I've worn it a few more times since so it can survive a wash and dry if it makes its way in there somehow. I recently ordered a Vedette body shaper that is similar in appearance to this... and let me just say I regret that purchase entirely. Feeling sort of wary of purchasing a body shaper online, I finally decided to just bite the bullet and TRY this one... why not, right? Let me just say... I will never purchase another brand of body shapers again. This is perfect... and I mean PERFECT. The design is amazing, it flattens and shapes while still being comfortable. I have been progressively losing weight, and I bought this shaper in the hopes of making everything appear taut while I am working to make it that way. This does the job and then some. If you are in between on which body shaper to get... I fully recommend this one. One thing I will say is to refer to their size chart. I ordered a medium and it fits perfectly, although it may seem a little tough to get on the first time. It's actually very simple to get on and comfortable to wear. There are three hooks at the crotch area which need to be undone (obviously) when using the restroom. I didn't find those too difficult, but be warned about them if you have a weak bladder... you may need to take some precautions. The hooks work like a typical bra hook would. Also, if you plan on wearing this shaper for a full day make sure you adjust the straps to where you need them. I forgot to adjust them and wore this for an hour until I finally thought "Ouch! Now, this does suck my tummy in nicely, which is why I’m keeping it. I don’t want the hassle of a return. But I have to take my shirt off and pull this down like underwear every time I use the restroom because the snap is unreachable. It’s SO FAR away! This also makes you thighs pop, and I’m just gonna live with that because it’s better than the line created by having the shorts. Second, it’s a smidge on the small side. I have a long torso and it barely fits even though I ordered what I am in sizes for everything else. Don’t size down for sure. Depending on your shape, maybe size up. It will still smooth you out. I bought this shape wear to wear under a sleek silk dress for an upcoming wedding. I tried it on with the dress and am very happy! The fact that use your own bra is perfect as I can avoid back bra lines under the delicate silk dress. I just used a sticky bra with it. As it’s a bodysuit, it prevents the “muffin-top” and rolling from high-waisted brief shape wear. It perfectly smoothed out my belly and back so I feel my most confident in my dress.
