I've been using this heat gun for PPF for about a month now and I've been very pleased with. I work in a large shop and use it daily. Gives off the right amount of heat without having to be on the highest setting. I use it on fan speed 1 and heat setting 4. The little light on it has been great in the darker areas on cars like underneath doors and hoods. It's expensive but if you use something everyday it should be of high quality. If you install PPF you will like it, if you hate running cords around expensive cars you'll love it. Read more

Love this little tool. I do a lot of automotive custom wiring and go through a lot of heat shrink tubing. I use this to replace my 110v heat gun to save from dragging a cord into and through the car. I run it at or near max power for the Raychem brand shrink I use. Works great some 2/0awg down to 22awg. While it doesn't get as hot as the 110v unit, it saves from having a cord running into the car. I dislike the case that it came in so I 3D printed a mount to hold the gun and the nozzles. That makes this perfect. Read more

I purchased this knowing it would not be a replacement for a corded model. I wanted this for the sheer convenience factor and that is the purpose it has served me so far. I wanted this for the quick one-off heat shrink application or thawing out a lock, etc. It works excellent for those kinds of tasks. Even though my expectations were not high, I was a little disappointed that the unit did not put off more heat, which is why I only gave it four out of five stars. As long as your expectations are reasonable before purchasing this, I think you will be reasonably happy with it. Read more
Gets hot. Could blow a little harder. Very convenient. Read more
Purchased this for my work truck. Great product that run off the Makita 18V battery system. It is not the hottest or fastest solution, but when you don't have 120V as an option, this is a great solution! Read more
This is a great gun. I don't think it is as hot as my corded gun, but when you need a heat gun where you can't find a plug, this is invaluable. Will take a little longer to shrink some of those electrical fittings, but it does the job. Read more
