As a mom of two flat-faced babies, these were recommended by a vet. We have what we call "Itchy-face" in this house. Itchy -face demands that the frenchies run all over the house, rubbed their face (and ears) on everything... ARHG! When we start to see that behavior, we pull these wipes out. They are a perfect size to fold over your finger (like a taco shell) so you can rub between the chub. We love these! They are super durable, so you can easily dig in (gentle on their eyes, touch on the crusties!) and get those folds cleaned out. I personally really like the way they smell- medicinally vingerary- Those faces will smell a little soured, but in the best ways. Their fur will be softer, and more kissable! After they have their faces clean, the frenchies MUST do their best to re-dirty those folds, but when attempts are deemed doomed, they will settle right in, and they will have a clean face! until they don't, and we restart the whole process! They are of a convenient size (about the size of the stridex pads for cleaning your face with) so that they don’t really get the medication all over the body, mainly where your trying to apply it. Pads are fairly thick and easy to hold onto however getting a single wipe out of the container can be a bit of a challenge especially if you have large hands and fingers they do seem to spot clean fairly well but occasionally you need to use more than one pad in the same area. I can’t say for the softness as I wear latex gloves when using (as the label suggests ) but my dog doesn’t flinch except for when first applying most of the dogs I’ve ever owned used to flinch anytime you put something foreign against them even if I’m just brushing her she will flinch then will be calm afterwards.
