Man On A Ledge - Digital 4K UHD

We were watching another Summit Entertainment Blu-ray and saw the preview for Man on a Ledge. We are HUGE Summit Entertainment fans, finding their movies intelligent, entertaining, well-scripted and acted. Good movies with them is the rule, not the exception. We purchased Man on a Ledge purely based upon the preview and the backer. The movie was fun, intense, interesting, and unpredictable. Other Summit Entertainment movies we have enjoyed are The Source Code, The Hurt Locker, Knowing, The Brothers Bloom, Fair Game, Push, Red, The Ghost Writer, and Letters to Juliet. Well yes after a bit you kind of know how this movie is going to go but I have to tell you the action the acting the tightness and the fact that one thing happens after another in Rapid succession will glue you to watching it throughout... And it is worth it and as someone's has already mentioned the ending makes it so worthwhile it actually turns out to be rather a feel-good movie but a heck of a lot of action precedes all that! If you have acrophobia, don't worry. It's not too bad. A great caper with only the occasional bit of silliness. A great cast and compelling story come through. Well worth a watch. Read more

I don't know why they stopped making nice clean movies like this one. Very well made, good plot, easy to follow, and happy ending. No overaction like other movies these days where they always have to screw over the hero in the end. Good action movie that you can watch with the whole family except for some X-rated dialogue in between which they could've cut out to make the movie 100% clean. Read more

Like one of the reviewers said it's just a movie. So naysayer cool it, this movie was fantastic and a little tear-jerker at the end. I did not expect that ending. Lots of movies have great action but a really stupid ending that blows the whole thing/movie and leaves you hanging, NOT THIS MOVIE, this movie has a wonderful ending and leave you feeling good all over and rooting for the home team. Edge of your seat thriller with some unexpected twist that all come together at the conclusion of the film. However, though the acting was for the most part very good, certain elements dragged on and were too implausible. Ben Worthington and Elizabeth Banks gave outstanding performances. Elizabeth is in my opinion one of the most underrated actresses in the business - she is outstanding even in movies that I don't like. Jamie Bell is a talented actor (Jane Eyre), but I just don't think he was that believable as Nick's brother Joey. As for Ed Harris, his performance was simply over-the-top annoying. It was a fairly enjoyable film but I found it to have a certain dated vibe. Worth watching once. Read more

Excellent movie. The drama was great and put together well. You knew what the inevitable outcome would be but some excellent directing added some unexpected twists to the plot and it sold well. Elizabeth Banks is fast becoming one of my favorite actresses.
