I wasn't sure what this would look like in person vs on line but ordered it always and this turned out very nice. I use this for farmers market shopping or fast store run there is no base so everything falls into the bottom I call the black hole bright and cheerful I have seen these types in Mexico before and this was n much better price . The length is long just tie it up to make it short light weight and I got it on sale I washed it by hand and laid it on deck table to air dry still looks good don't over load it because it can hurt your neck over long shopping day. Pretty, simple, relaxed bag. It's a great size - not too big, not too small - and the wide strap is long enough to easily use as a cross-body bag, but not too long to just sling over one shoulder. It's unusual to find a bag that does not have a strap that's adjustable that's the perfect length. The fabric is fairly heavy and should hold up well. However, the image is not accurate. The "shiny" appearance of the bag as shown indicates it might be either polished cotton or waxed cotton. It is neither, just plain cotton with no shine. So though it was different that I was expecting, I'm still not disappointed because the design and fabric is quite nice. It has a fairly large zippered compartment inside, and I didn't realize that the entire top of the bag also zips closed, although it's pretty difficiult to do so on a slouch bag.
