I originally purchased this spray thinking it would be something I’d use occasionally, with my primary mat cleaner being a disinfectant spray. After a hot yoga class where I didn’t use a mat towel, I decided to spray this on my mat just to wipe away sweat residue. I used a light-colored cleaning towel to wipe the mat, fully expecting it to be mostly clean since I haven’t used the mat that much. Instead, the towel showed a noticeable amount of dirt and residue. It made me realize that even when a mat looks clean, there’s clearly more buildup than you think. I was genuinely surprised by how much dirt this product lifted off. Because of that, I’ll be using this as my primary yoga mat cleaner going forward. It does an excellent job of lifting dirt and grime, not just surface sweat, and leaves the mat feeling truly clean.
