This is a useful kit to keep in a gym bag, a car, or a desk drawer for emergencies, but the tools are not built for heavy duty use or longevity. ​ •Case and Storage: The case is a highlight of the product. It is nicely padded and easy to open and close. Inside, the tools are held in place by a sewn plastic fabric strip. One minor drawback is that the tools can be difficult to remove from these slots at times because of their size relative to the case. ​ •Tool Performance -The effectiveness of the seven tools varies significantly: ​•Standard Nail Clippers: These are the best part of the set. They work well, feel good in the hand, and provide a clean cut. ​ •Scissors: These are sharp enough to cut through cardstock paper easily. However, they are quite stiff and do not have a smooth glide when opening or closing. ​ •Tweezers: These are functional for plucking eyebrow hairs, but they are very flat and have a narrow pincer opening, which makes the grip feel less secure. •Small Tools: The ear spoon, cuticle pusher, and file work well enough for their intended purpose. They are on the flimsier side and likely will not handle heavy tasks. ​ •Angled Clippers: This tool was the only failure in the set. The unit I received had excess metal material on the underside of the clip blade. This defect prevented it from making a reliable, clean cut on cuticles or nails. ​ If you need a portable, low-cost solution for travel or your office, this set does the job. For what it is, this is a solid set. At no point are you going to be wowed by the quality but for a small travel set with a case, it’s a great value. The thinner pieces like the picks are bendable with your bare hands. However, they did work just fine for me to get some stubborn gunk out from under my nails. I found the clippers to be adequate, both were able to clip toenails with a couple layers of gel polish. They weren’t amazingly sharp but they will do the job. I do not have particularly thick nails but they’re decently strong. The angled clipper was a nice inclusion to reach the stubborn side bits that I sometimes miss with straight clippers. The nail file is pretty much garbage, I wouldn’t count on using it but since it’s attached to a pick the piece still has a purpose. The tweezers aren’t great but better than nothing. Scissors are similarly meh but useful. This set is very cheap and that is reflected in the contents. It’s cheap enough and functional enough that I think it’s a decent option for a travel kit. The case is a little flimsy but does stay closed. It’s a little larger than a credit card but not as thick as you’d expect. It’s an easy add to a purse or toiletry bag. This would be one of those things I brought for an event and/or travel just to have on hand. It’s also cheap enough I wouldn’t be heartbroken if I lost it or broke something. It’s almost semi disposable. I feel like if you’re looking for something small and cheap for intermittent use this will fit the bill. If you’re looking for something to stash in your home bathroom for regular use, pay for something nicer. Read more
