MARC JOSEPH NEW YORK Men's Nubuck Leather Lace Up Dress Oxfords are comfortable and look good. These shoes are part of the luxury Gold Collection and are well suited for business meetings and such. They have "gel heel insert[s] for optimized comfort and rubber sole[s]." The pair appears to be well crafted of quality materials. The pair of shoes that was originally ordered was grainy leather but a nubuck leather shoe was received instead. It is a smooth but not shiny leather and looks quite good. The shoes fit fine and were still comfortable after wearing them through the business day. The wearer liked the nubuck finish of the shoes and they looked good with the dress suit he was wearing. These shoes were a bit of a disappointment. The toe portion narrowed considerably, much more so than the pictures seem to indicated, which caused a bit of tightness in that section. The laces were put in in an awkward way and I had to reface the shoes. One of the threads on the sole was hanging loose. It was obvious, so someone missed it. The grain of the shoe looked very nice and it felt comfortable, though again not in the toe area. Had it not narrowed so much, it would have made a difference. Read more
