The mattress that this topper was put on was terrible. You could feel springs everywhere, it literally felt like laying on a box spring. When I received the topper, it expanded in about an hour and there was a minimal smell. It did come with a slight rip in the top that is about 2 inches long, but it does not affect its performance. I can no longer feel springs in the mattress, and it did not slide around at night. It did not hold heat however, I do have a plush mattress topper on top of the foam (the plush topper is extremely thin) which might be the reason it didn't hold heat. Solved a rock hard Mattress problem. I’ve had had the same mattress for years and always woke up feeling tired, but I bought this mattress topper, I was so excited to get it in the mail! It is so so soft! Absolutely love it!!! I sleep 100% better now thanks to this mattress topper. Read more

Go for something with layers and spend the extra $. You’ll thank yourself. If you like being squishy and soft this is for you. If you have back or bone issues - which I do - you’ll benefit from this yes, but you’ll go further with something extra firm and solid build. I barely feel my garbage old mattress under it; at least. This is a temporary fix until I get a new bed all together. After a day or two the mattress topper is wonderful. You need to unzip it for it to fully expand, takes about a half hour, especially if it’s creased and crushed up. But on the bright side there is absolutely no smell! Not in the slightest bit. The warning on the box says there might be a smell but there wasn’t one at all, it’s perfect out of the box. Read more

This is by far the best purchase I've made. I usually don't do product reviews, but needed to for this. I was skeptical it would do what it claims for the price. I'm disabled with a back problem. At first I thought it was too firm, but once on it, it cushions your body perfectly. And comes back to shape quickly when you move. Since using it I have had the best sleep I've had in many years. And I'm not having night swests like I use to. I thought I was going to need a whole new bed. This has been a god send. You do need to let it sit for a while after removing from packaging. It looks much smaller, but after opening the cover and leaving it for 12 hours, it plumped up to perfect size. Not sure if it's necessary but I did flip it over after 6 hours. Packaging was in tact. My experience with mattress pads was that eventually they squish back down to the surface of the mattress and there is no point. If you read some of the negative reviews, people complain on this pad remaining very firm. If a firm pad, the relieves pain (which for me was sciatic), this is a great pad for a great price. Update: I have now had this for close to 2 years and it has maintained its shape, thickness, and is still very comfortable. Read more

Like: medium support and cloud softness. I'm thin as a rail ( 5'10, 130lbs) so have boney hips and shoulders, but this mattress topper still gives the support I need while cushioning me like a squishmallow. That's very rare! I definitely recommend this topper to anyone on the lighter side who is looking to get rid of that hip and shoulder pain that comes with a medium-firm mattress. Dislike: none Read more
