Marvelous World Boys Formal Slim Fit Suit Set Adjustable Waist

My thin, tall child (age 7) looks and feels like a million bucks in this handsome suit! He selected the royal color, which looks more of a "novelty" color online than it does in real life - in person, it is a lovely, deep shade of blue that doesn't scream "wedding theme color." We bought this for a mother/son dance, and my son loved wearing the three-piece vest and pocket square, which his old Target suit did not have. The paisley print is lovely. He is tall and thin for his age, so the slim fit cut was perfect, and the pants could be tightened with an internal button and elastic system that's common (and genius) on children's clothing. It was great to find pants that are both long enough and small enough in the waist for him. I love that this set comes with so many accessory pieces and options, and even the crisp white shirt. He wore this with some new sneakers and looked absolutely wonderful. He has since worn it on a couple of other occasions when a suit was not strictly required, which tells me how good he feels in this. I bought a size 8 and the next size up, and he kept the 8. His daily clothes are still a size 7, and the suit jacket and shirt are a little bigger on him than his daily clothes, so he will get use out of this for a while. This was the same price for a full set as just the pants and jacket of a new Cat and Jack suit from Target would have been, and those would not even have been slim cut, so this was an incredible value. The quality is great and it fit perfectly. Comes with black regular tie and bow tie. However, it should be noted that the sizing guide is off a bit, especially in the waist. For context, my son is large for his size, at 8, he's 57", waist is 29.5, chest is 30, weight is 90lbs. The size 12 fit him like a glove (there was plenty of length in the pants too, as I was worried about that). I originally ordered the husky because I was going based on the sizing guide waist size. It was huge on him, so I ended up returning the husky one and getting the slim fit even though the waist on the sizing guide for slim fit says 26-27, and his waist is 29.5. This suit is wonderful! I got the green and blue for my son. Has a nice tailored fit to it. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons- the ties that come with these are great for an 8 year old. They are too short for a 13 year old. Bigger suits should have bigger ties if you're going to sell them as a set. Thankfully I have a younger son who was happy to inherit them. But just be aware. The other reason I took a star off is because the shirt says it's dry clean only. I don't have the time or want to pay to have a kids dress shirt dry cleaned. I've ordered other shirts separately from this same brand and those are washable so I'm not sure why this one says it isn't. I will admit I washed and dried the shirt because I figured if it got ruined then it didn't matter because I wasn't going to have it dry cleaned. It washed up just fine. But proceed at your own risk because it does indicate it should be dry cleaned on the tag. The shirt has a really nice fit. I also had issues with this brand across different colors. The green and blue sets arrived nicely packaged and fit very similarly. The black one was not cut the same and was baggier. The gray one arrived without the jacket and was balled up and shoved in a generic bag so I couldn't tell you how that one fit. Pretty annoyed cause we were excited about the color but obviously returned it. Overall a good value and a nice cut. I recommend going to the bigger size if you aren't sure which one to get. This worked well for us and fit my 8 year old wonderfully. He looked so cute. It comes with a vest and an overcoat. Also a bowtie and a regular tie.
