I bought this in Nov 2022, it is now March 2024 and the heat gun is dead (no heat). For 300 bucks you would think it would last longer. My original heat gun (same brand) lasted nearly 15 years. Read more

I own an old Master heat gun from probably the late 1960s. Has a wood handle. Works great after all these years. I bought this one because it has adjustable heat and nozzle attachments in a great carrying case. Do you want to buy a heat gun that will last and that you can repair and keep using it? Master Heat guns are the ONLY product you can buy that actually have repair services in house and they stock all parts you may need at some point to repair the heat gun, even the armature!. I had bought a Steinel heat gun kit several years ago. It had nice features but it stopped working properly earlier this year. So I called Steinel and asked if they can repair it. They said they only repair heat guns that are still within the warranty period, which is only ONE year. So I asked the tech support person: "So, are you saying this is a throwaway product?" His answer, verbatim, was: "Yes, it is a throwaway product." There you have it. Buy something that is build well in the USA (Master heat guns) or buy a "throwaway" heat gun and waste money when it stops working. Which by the way, as stated above, my OLD Master heat gun is still working and I have never had to repair it. Read more
