The matcha itself is amazing, great flavor with very little bitterness. I appreciate that the packaging was intended to keep the matcha as fresh as possible, but the aluminum bag that came within the tin can made me lose significant amount of matcha in the transfer. There's so much matcha stuck to the sides of the bag that even though I tried my best to scrape it and save it I feel like I lost at least 2-3grams worth which is significant given the price of the matcha. If the matcha wasn't so powdery and stuck to the bag this wouldn't be an issue, but it's fineness just doesn't allow it to transfer nicely from the aluminum bag to the aluminum can. Read more

Tastes okay but the powder is kind of gritty. I followed instructions and made it the same way I usually did for other hojicha, but it was still gritty. It doesn’t really clump, it’s just the powder granules seem to be a bigger size than others I’ve used. Might use it for baking instead of drinks. Read more
