Price and functionality

I needed extra ssd storage space for my macbook air and found this would hold up 16tb and was air cooled there are a lot of option out there but this mac mini accessorie work well and is thunderbolt 5 compatible. Plug and play easy to install the ssd's. There is a YouTube video on how to install which is a plus. I would buy it again. Read more

Cables are for Electronic not Physical/Mechanical Connection

Very impressive little unit. Well made. It performs as advertised. I would give it five stars if there were more give in the Thunderbolt cable. The cable behaves like a mechanical connection between the Mac Mini and the dock. I am concerned about the long term performance of the cable with such a rigid connection between the two devices. Some folks may view this as a feature. Not me. A life time of computer use has shown that a cable connection should be for electronic connection not mechanical connection. Without sufficient flex in the cable the end connections may wear due to minor vibration, heat and cooling contraction, getting bumped, etc. I purchase a longer cable with more flex.
