We just put new vinyl plank flooring and I did not want standing water from spillage from the pet bowels, I have a dog and a cat. So I bought this mat to put their fountain and water bowl on. Yes, kitty like a fountain and doggie like a bowel, go figure. It is made of very nice pliable plastic that is super easy to clean. It is not thin and won't tear easy so it is made of a nice material for easy use. The width and length are perfect to hold a small-medium size fountain and a small water bowl. The mat looks nice under the water stations and keep them looking very clean and neat looking. This silicone pet food mat is a nice size to accommodate a double bowl of wet food & dry food for our cat, plus also a electric watering bowl. I got to choose the color of the mat (nice), it says it has raised sides all around. It does but they are flimsy, soft, & very pliable. NOT FIRM sides at all. It came rolled up in a long tube like box. Says it's dishwasher safe, but it's so thin & pliable, I don't trust it in the dishwasher.... time will tell how long it will last, before it cracks, rips, tears ? But so far it's holding up, and retaining any food or water spills. But I would & will hand wash & dry the mat to help keep it's shape & help with the long-term use.... Read more

The media could not be loaded. The mat really is super nice ! The silicone is soft, it lays flat and smooth. The color is nice subtle grey. It helps keep your counter confined and makes it super easy to clean after spills or in my case insect container messes !! It was so easy to use, remove the clear plastic shrink wrap, and the ties! It unrolled and laid flat instantly! I was so impressed! No plastic odors and it is the perfect thickness. I'd buy again in a heartbeat.
