This is such a great bag for a variety of uses. Starting with the mini personal pouch, the material is lightweight with a waterproof material inside to prevent any stains from appearing on the outside, and easy clean up. Handle at the top for easy grab and go. The bookbag has so many great features and is a mix of cream of beige tones giving it more of a sophisticated vs sporty feel. There are 5 zippered compartments, in various sizes. -The largest section has a padded spot for laptop or tablet with a secure strap as well as mesh pockets. The zippers go all the way to the bottom of the bag. -The 2nd largest section is a zip around that opens all the way up with USB charging cord that has a port to the outside of the bag. Is also has a buckle strap to keep items from shifting. -The 3rd largest section has 2 smaller zippered sections inside. (This also zips around to open all the way). If you are looking for a bookbag that has it all, this is the one! -The section at the bottom of the bag is intended for shoes, with a liner inside and air vents. -The smallest is at the top which is great for smaller items you need to be able to grab in a hurry, roughly the size of a passport. Both the straps and the handles (top and side) are padded making this very comfortable even when heavy, even the back has padding. There's plenty of adjustable straps for both fit on your body as well as space inside the bag. This is the perfect bag for carry on use when traveling. Having been witness to the drama that ensues when someone tries to board one of the budget tier airlines with a personal item that doesn’t fit their size standard, I made a promise to myself that it could never be me! I jumped at the opportunity to secure this handsome piece of TSA-approved luggage to insure that I would never find myself staring down the barrel of a $100 airline ticket markup at the gate. The backpack style of this bag is a major plus, allowing for hands-free travel. And kudos to the designers because the storage features are intuitive and plentiful; as someone who gets excited over dresses with pockets, this bag sent me over the moon! There are two primary compartments: the back section holds electronics like a larger laptop and a tablet on one side and has a separated mesh pocket on the other. The deeper front section has a buckled strap that secures all your clothing, a small mesh side pocket, and a dual charging port. A bag to hold items you need to separate from the rest of your clothes (like shoes or dirty laundry) is also in this section and is accessed by an aerated zippered compartment in the bottom of the bag. A large zippered front pocket has even more pockets and a key ring inside it. There’s even a handy small zippered pocket on the top of the bag that’s the perfect size for quick access to your passport and phone. On the outside of the bag, a pocket securely holds a water bottle on one side and has a carrying strap on the other. There are loops to hang things on the front and on one of the back straps, and a strap to secure the bag to your carry on luggage on the back. The bag is well-padded throughout and the padded back straps are wide and comfortable. Included with the bag are a pu leather luggage tag and a small accessory pouch. To top it all off, it really is an attractive bag…the cream color I chose with tan/taupe trim and gold accents is almost too pretty to get shoved under an airplane seat, but it has a clever, moisture-proof protective sheath that covers the whole thing and neatly stows away in a zippered compartment when not in use.
