Nice solid thick mat with a minor quality issue.

Nice quality and thick mat for tamping espresso. It doesn't have the little indent for the portafilter but I like to put the entire thing on the mat anyway. This is compact but that makes it easier to throw in the dishwasher. The only issue I have is that the mold seems to have had a flaw or at least this mat did. As you can see in the picture it's just not a clean edge. Other than that it's a nice mat that doesn't slip around and is super easy to clean. Read more

Something I really liked when I opened this up was that they didn’t fold it, or roll it up to get it in the box. There were no bends or funny creases in it. More and more, I find myself doing my puck prep while holding my porta-filter in my hand rather than putting it into my tamping station. I was making a bit of a mess but what was concerning to me was how much I’ve been tapping the porta-filter on the countertop. This is working out very well for my workflow.
