After months of waking in terrible hip pain (we have an adjustable bed, X-Firm King size) I purchased these wonderful, soft as a cloud, toppers. I have fibromyalgia, arthritis and since one reviewer mentioned the same, that sold me. This made ALL the difference. I sleep less interrupted by pain, cozy and stay cool. This is the softest mattress pad we've ever owned. It does act like a pillow-top mattress but not as puffy as that. It's a good in between if you are looking for the softness of a pillow-top but not the bulk or height of a pillow-top. 40% bamboo - claims it is cooling... isn't really. In fact, it makes it a bit warmer due to the pillowy construction. I am not sure if this is legit 40% bamboo or not. We have bamboo sheets which do a nice job of keeping you cooler but again, those are thin and this pad is a lot thicker. I would say great value for the money if you are looking for overall softness and comfort/relief from a stiff mattress. Beware that due to the puffy nature this creates a bit of shelf at the top of the bed near the headboard so pillows will crease at the bend of that shelf. I use two pillows to combat that issue. I bought this topper back in January for the mattress in my work bunkhouse. It worked pretty well at first -- very plush, and kept me supported well when I sleep on my side. After these three months, however, it has started to significantly loose its plushness. It feels mostly flat, and the filling as seemingly moved more to the outside edges of the topper instead of staying in the middle. It can be fixed a little by throwing it in the dryer for a few minutes on very low heat, but the fix has started to become less and less effective. Read more
