This item is really extremely good , best in the world . And I have used many , … many pans in my lifetime . It is not that ‘sticky’ if compared to other ‘branded’ pans , really good heat distribution and does not burn . I tried this pan to hot-sear , going above the recommended heat level and it still work perfectly well , no browning , no burn , no nothing . This pan will likely last me until the day I die. For those who complains this sticks : this is a stainless steel pan, so you need to coat it with oil prior to use, this is not a non-stick pan like Teflon . I am using this because Teflon isn’t good for health. For those who complains this discolored : this pan heats up extremely fast , use a thermometer to check the temperature. I find this pan easily heats up 2x faster , and 2x hotter compared to other ‘branded’ pans , and about 5x faster and 5x hotter if compared to ‘generic’ or ‘cheap-no-brand’ pans. When the pan gets extremely hot, it will burn and evaporate the oil, leaving a sticky discolored stain. Seriously Don’t evaporate your oil. Read more

Obsessed with this pan!!! Great for making any sauce, frying meat, and even it doesn’t stick if you hear it up properly! Easy to clean but you need to be fast right after cooking! Durable and we love it! Btw, it is smaller than we thought it should be. Read more

My wife and I love this pan. Heats evenly and has a really good build quality. It also looks really sharp. The downside is its hard to clean, but what high quality cookware isn't? Read more

Overall, I am very happy I made the change back to stainless steel cookware. I had a few skillets years ago but for some reason, went to cast iron and non stick skillets. Since I did not want to use non-stick because of the possible hidden chemicals in the finish, I decided to look around for stainless steel skillets. I went to the department store and looked at all the brands. The two most popular very expensive brands that people buy (All-Clad and T-Fal) I did not like because of the handles. They were very uncomfortable to hold, especially All-Clad. The cheaper more economical brands I did not like for their light weight feel. I discovered Mauviel on the web but was unable to find them in the stores so I took a chance on this 5-ply skillet. I was not disappointed. The only gripe I find with this pan is that the bottom scratches easily on my cast iron stove grates which cover the entire cooking surface of my gas stove. I do not know if this happens with the other brands but it certainly did happen with this one and with minimal shifting of the skillet when cooking. Maybe it's just my stove grates but I cannot be certain of this obviously. I am not that upset since I know stainless steel will age naturally over time but I wasn't expecting it so soon. Cooking with it is great and as long as you deglaze the pan after you cook and do not cook at a high heat and are not in a rush (all things you should know before you buy stainless steel skillets) the clean up is fast and easy. Also, be careful of some oils that may discolor the bottom, I only use olive oil or butter but my past experience with grape seed oil and stainless steel has proven to be a disaster for some reason. It will turn the bottom brown and will be very difficult to clean. Overall, this skillet was a welcome addition to my stainless steel saucepans and larger sized soup pots that I have owned for well over 30 years now, aged but still cook flawlessly. I am sure this will be around well past my lifetime and into my children's lifetimes as well. Read more

Excellent pan. Handle is small - but this helps make the pan well balanced. Cleans up easily enough in the dishwasher. Couldn't be happier with my purchase (especially since on special!). Read more

This pan is nice, but not nearly what I expected it to be. I was thinking of buying a set of M'Cook, but thought I would test it first. I'm glad I did...it looks great, but performs only okay. First, it is much lighter than I thought it would be. It doesn't heat nearly as evenly as most cookware I regularly use. Lastly, it takes a while to heat up & after use it discolors from getting too hot. I'm hard on pans, I'm a chef & typically cook w/ higher temperatures to get the best caramelization. Mafter & Le Creuset are still my favorites. Read more

As with all Mauviel cookware that I own. It does a great job with heat distribution therefor cooking food evenly and thoroughly. Handles on lids do get hot. Handles on the pots themselves, do not. Cleaning has been easy. Read more
