Living in Florida our lovely sunshine wrecks havoc on any kind of rubber or plastic used outdoors. My garden hose was starting to show some cracking but not yet a leak. I wrapped this tape around the cracked sections. I found it easy to apply as per directions and its stayed securely on hose. For past few months it has securely reinforced my hose and no further breakdown or leaks has occured. Very pleased. Read more

I needed something to make the diameter of my shower hose actually fit into an extra bracket/holder that I had purchased here on Amazon. That is: right below, where the hose screws onto my shower head. I had trouble with my shower head not staying in position because the base of the shower head and the nut right below it were too large to fit into the holder and the hose was too skinny...leading the shower head to be unstable and not stay in position and even a couple of times, it fell out of the holder and almost conked me on the head! I simply wrapped/stretched this silicone tape around the hose right below the showerhead to make it thick enough that it fit snugly into the shower head holder/bracket. The "grippiness" of the silicone tape was PERFECT and now I don't have to constantly re-position my shower head the entire time! After a while, it really settles/seals itself and is now immovable. I don't have to worry about it "unraveling." This was the perfect solution for my problem! Read more

Dose a good job of sticking to itself but does not stick to any other surface unless wrapped around itself tightly on that surface. It works well for certain projects and quick fixes but not for every job. You will need a second product if you need to use tape to stick to a surface without wrapping it around itself. Read more

Research showed that thin self-adhering wrap tape was worth trying and this was easy to use and WORKED! I had used waterproof tape and other thingsin the past (silicone adhesive plus waterproof tape, movers’ adhesive cling wrap). Big box only had thicker waterproof silicone wrap in stock- this is 0.02” thick so perfect for the hose’s accordion ridges. Just follow directions for stretching with application. Read more

Ordered this product to fix a leaky hose. While I was able to regain pressure in the hose, the site of the leak was nowhere near sealed and still leaked. I think the black multi-use gorilla tape would have done a much better job. Read more

This stuff is the greatest. Fixed a lousy plumbing job by binding two pipes so securely I will never have to worry about the issue again. Read more

You do know what this self-fusing stuff is, right? The best tape-type thing there is? It'll handle just about any temperature you can throw at it. It eats high pressure for breakfast. It sticks to itself and not your surfaces. Wonderful material. This particular example of it is a good one: no frills little cardboard box packaging, plastic strip that keeps it from fusing in the box is easy to cut and handle. Highly recommended. Keep a roll handy in case the alien invasion involves silicon-based life forms: I bet this would be useful. Read more

I used it instead of heat shrink or regular electrical tape to repair an antique deep fat fryer electrical wiring. It would be subject to grease and High temperature. Worked perfectly. I'll check back in 10 years to see how it holds up over time, and keep some in the car in case of a broken water hose. Read more
