Not heavy like a wooden dolly.
I gave it 4 stars only because the wheel assembly was difficult. They could have engineered this to be much easier. Once assembled it's perfect, light and easy to move around. Read more

Customers say
Customers find the furniture mover dolly to be a good quality item that moves heavy items easily and works well for light loads. Customers report durability issues, with the dolly breaking down in the middle or snapping in half, and they note that only two of the four wheels are swivel.

The only assembly required was to put the wheels on. Frankly, I found this a bit difficult, but I am An Ancient (78) and nothing is as easy as it used to be, so perhaps that's why I had a hard time. I had to walk away from doing it twice because I was getting frustrated. As you can see from the pics, I've added a somewhat girly ribbon to use as a pull. Not to worry, guys, the plaid of the ribbon cuts down on the girliness feature :) . Getting back to my review...I do recommend this dolly. It rolls easily and it's very sturdy, and isn't that what you're looking for in a dolly? I love that the front wheels rotate; it makes it so very easy to maneuver, especially when you need to get around corners. The plastic is very thick and it was obviously poured in a single mold (no putting two separate together to give it it's length), so I'm thinking it's going to be able to handle a good deal of weight. At 19-1/2" x 14-1/2", it's a good size and should work well for moving many different things. It's also very easy to store when not in use; simply lean it up against a wall and it's taking up very little space, yet will still be easy to see when you're looking for it. Heck, you could even hang it from a bicycle hook by it's girly pull! Read more

Solid base with good wheels, perfect for moving AC units into storage. Assembly instructions said to slide bolts through the holes, then cap the holes. But the bolts tend to slide out of place, so do NOT cap the holes until the wheels are attached. Read more
I like the size, weight and ease of use. It works like it's supposed to and durable. I have six of these and will be ordering a couple more. There are some small challenges putting them together otherwise I would give five stars. No worries though. You will need a 10 mm wrench or socket ( which is what I used ). Insert bolt through the top to the bottom. There are cut outs for the hex head to fit into inside the hole that will hold that end for you. You may have to wriggle the threaded end around a little for it to fall or push into place. I used my finger to assist in pushing it into that position. Place caster wheel over the threaded end of the bolt on bottom. Spin nut onto threaded end with flat side towards dolly. The nuts are nylon self locking so the will tighten up and need to be wrenched on to completely secure wheel to the bottom of the dolly. Make sure to get all four bolts and nuts started before fully tightening to ensure easier fitting of bolts through all holes. I was actually putting all four through before placing the caster wheel on and holding them in place with my fingers inserted into the four holes and then turning the nut onto each threaded end. It doesn't take to long to assemble. They should have included some sort of tool to help with tightening I agree. Just have a little patience and it'll come together. Read more

2 stars off for useless instructions and no mention (let alone inclusion ) of a 10mm open end box wrench being needed. 4 bumper caps were not included, but they aren't needed. And there were 3 extra nuts, one extra rubber cap, but whatever.... It's the directions that wasted 15 minutes on what will be an HOUR ASSEMBLY if you only spend 4 minutes on each bolt O NOT put in the bolts and caps and then turn over and add casters and screws. They will fall back out to where you cannot get a nut on them. The caps do NOT hold them in place. They are dust covers and go on last. To sanely assemble: Note that 2 casters swivel and 2 do not. Put swivels on either side of hand hold cutout (the front), and do these first (they are easier.) Put one bolt in the slot and press it down in place with your finger; without letting go, on bottom add the caster and carefully hand tighten a nut. If you remove your finger for rom top of nut it will fall back...and if nut does not easily turn twice you don't have it aligned right, do not force it, back it off and try again. Do this 15 more times When all are hand tightened you still might need to keep your finger on top of the nut while you use the 10mm wrench to tighten --it might slip back, depending on how hand tight it was, and spin in the hole. On the swivel casters you might be able to fit a socket or the closed part of a box wrench over the e nut; on the non swivel casters in back you will not have the room before hitting the wherl ir frame, so you will have to make a dozen or more 1/4 or 1/2 turns with the open end. Fun Bolts will protrude thru the nut top when tight. Finish with caps on top is optional, IMO. They will keep out dirt anyway. You will need a mallet to pound them in unless you have exceptionally strong thumbs. I spent an hour and a half of my life on this that I won't get back ;-) Read more
