I like this wastebasket so much that I bought a few more. I'd been scooping the litter box into a plastic grocery bag for years, and finally decided to insert the bag into a wastebasket of the right size and shape to hold the bag open and make the job easier. This was absolutely a great choice. Perfect size and shape for the job. Just ordered some 2.6 gallon (10 liter) wastebasket liners, though, since with ordering groceries online now there are fewer of the little grocery bags to recycle for litter trash. The wastebasket is substantial - not one of those flimsy thin kind that split. I like it so much I got more of the plastic ones in other colors, a couple of the metal ones, and some of the other mDesign accessories for kitchen and bathroom. I bought this wastebasket (in espresso brown) for the bathroom, and it looks great! The oval shape is especially suitable for the space; great fit! It doesn't read "plastic"; rather it looks really nice and not "cheap." It's sturdy, not flimsy, and has an attractive design. I didn't want metal, so this was a great alternative, at an okay price. I purchase two of these for my spare bedroom and I like them very much. The Espresso Brown is not as dark as I would expect from Espresso but it is a warm medium brown that fits nicely with my decor. It has a nice satin finish and decorative top edge that helps it not look cheap. The dimensions are a bit off. The measurements are from top to bottom only 9 3/4" long, the top opening is 11 7/8" x 7 1/2" and the tapered bottom is 9 3/4" x 5 7/8". This is a perfect, inexpensive alternative to a metal wastebasket. It fits easily under my bathroom sink, in the cabinet, but it would look great and fit well next to the toilet too, in a small area. Easy to clean, plenty study. Read more

This basket looks nicer than the plastic it is! Looks metallic, but is fairly lightweight, and since it is plastic, won’t be prone to rust or other water damage. I use it as a small magazine holder in my bathroom, and it holds about 15 mags, plus a book or two, and still fits into a pretty narrow space.
