We cut some of the less desirable tips, ends, and more into thin strips and make our own ground beef. We made a little over 5 lbs of ground beef this day for a little under $3 per pound. For the most part this works great! I will say that trying to grind the smaller holes was not successful. But the bigger grind worked and ended up being fine for my sausages. It seems durable and easy to clean. I did get have some issues with a vapor lock when grinding and I feel like the pusher stick should have a bit of a flared handle at the end to aid in removing.
