I kind of cheated my son a little bit when he wanted a mechanical keyboard by getting him one that wasn't exactly that. It didn't have every little thing, but it looked nice and was cheap. But this time, I decided to get him what he really wanted. I found this and for a good price, it has more than I even realized was out there. I thought it was super cool that it has the streamdeck-like keys that can be customized. The keys feel really good. They're definitely real and mechanical. I could change the switches or the keycaps if desired. Not yet though. My son is nine and a half, and he feels like a real pro figuring these things out. I like that it has three discrete dials, and the board is so customizable. He was able to figure out the software with no problem. He has a little bit of experience setting up a steam deck and trying to customize a keyboard. He loves it, it feels high quality, and so far it is keeping up really nicely.
