For those in the know, Aula needs no introduction. It’s a well-respected brand when it comes to mechanical keyboards, known for deep, clean acoustics and just generally being a smooth pleasure to type on. For those wondering, this is the Aula F87 PRO V2. It’s still a mechanical keyboard at heart, using Leobog mechanical switches that seem to be full POM, which helps produce a rich and smooth, thocky keypress sound. The keycaps are fully doubleshot, and the typeface looks really clean and high contrast to me, even in dim lighting. Despite the looks, it’s mildly weighty. The internals seem loaded with foam and weighted with big batteries totaling 10,000mAh. The battery size is huge. Even using it nonstop for a few days barely got me down 5%. If you don’t use the RGB lighting, this will easily go 3–4 months or more without needing a charge with moderate daily use. Software-wise, the manual points to a web-based driver, so you will need an internet connection. There is a downloadable version as well, which I didn’t test. I was surprised to see SOCD/MT/TGL included in the software package, which is a rare win for mechanical keyboard enjoyers who do some light gaming but don’t want a smaller form factor, or the more hollow and sharp acoustics of some modern gaming keyboards that use noisier aluminum plates for stability. Otherwise, the drivers look good and offer the ability to remap keys, customize lighting, change the default sleep timer from one minute to whatever you prefer, and adjust polling. Just note that 8K polling is mostly for wired use only, with wireless at 1000Hz and Bluetooth at 125Hz. All in all, this is a pretty well-built keyboard. Aula’s been in the biz for a while, so I’m not surprised. There are a lot of nice quality-of-life improvements here, like the magnetic dongle slot. The cover is fully removable but latches on tightly, and when removed, the dongle basically “pops up” from the slot. Multiple magnets keep it from falling out, which makes it easy to keep track of the dongle even if you happen to misplace the cover. I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of screens, but this one feels more like an optional gimmick. Note that unlike previous renditions of Aula’s keyboards, the screen plays no critical role in the operation of the keyboard itself, as things like power and connection mode are toggleable via the physical slider switch on the side of the case. You can turn it on or off with the RGBs. By default, it displays your last typed key, which is interesting, and there are a lot of configurations for both the RGB and the screen that you can adjust using the two buttons next to it. The F87 feels like a great value keyboard as long as you’re not looking for a numpad or hardcore FPS gaming. It has a nicely minimized form factor for general use, along with very good battery life, build quality, and software features for those who still want some light gaming. Read more

I have used many many keyboards at this point, but oh my goodness, I think this might be among the highest quality and well-polished keyboards I have ever used. The attention to detail with this board is incredible. The dongle hides behind a small magnetic plate above the arrow keys. What a good idea. The dip switches are also accessed from the face of the keyboard. No need to flip things over or move your keyboard at all to switch between connectivity modes. This switches used with this board sound incredible and feel even better. These are my favorite switches without a shadow of a doubt. I was and am still very suprised with how much I enjoy using this keyboard. Nice rgb with underglow. Easy to adjust. I like the inclusion of the screen and its uplifting messages. This keyboard is just so fun to use. This is one of the easiest keyboards I have ever recommended. I'm pretty certain you will love this thing. Read more

This keyboard has been a great experience so far. The typing feel is smooth and satisfying, and the gasket mount gives it that nice creamy sound without being too loud. I really like the TKL layout since it saves desk space but still feels comfortable for both gaming and typing. The wireless connection has been solid for me, and the battery life is impressive. I don’t feel like I’m constantly charging it. The RGB looks clean and bright, and the hot-swap feature is a big plus if you like customizing later. Overall it feels well built, responsive, and enjoyable to use day to day. It’s one of those keyboards that just feels good the moment you start typing, and I’m really happy with it. Read more

This is a pretty dope keyboard. It’s has options for use. Bluetooth, usb, and 2.4g. It comes with a little holding slot for the chip. The spot has a magnetic cover which is nice but right in the beginning it got knocked off and had to find it. It’s just a cover but it’s actually a pretty important cover and necessary to keep the usb chip snug and hidden so it doesn’t get lost. It’s super smooth in its click and has nice lighting. I can’t wait to put this to the test! Read more

The media could not be loaded. This keyboard is one the absolute best sounding keyboards I have ever heard out of the box. The switches sound and feel super smooth, the stabilizers had no rattle, and the RGB was spectacular. I have yet to see a budget keyboard where you can have a mini screen display what key is registered when you press it, which is also such a unique feature of this board. It came with a dust cover and some added accessories. The charging cable is braided, which is also a huge plus. The innovation on this keyboard is stellar. If I were to complain about anything, it would be the lack of VIA for programming but this may not be a problem for some. The switches have a very light actuation so this keyboard should be perfect for gaming as well. Although, I do wish they’d specify what switches are in this but based on looking at the switch myself, it’s a leobog switch but unclear which one. 10/10 keyboard! Read more
