I've just remodeled the bathroom to accommodate my husband and me. I'm a disabled veteran and my husband uses a walker since his stroke. I had the bathtub removed and a walk-in shower put in its place. I needed a long mat that would not interfere with my husband's walker. This mat fits the bill. The shower is 60" long. I bought the 48" x 24" mat in blue. I needed something thin, firm, and absorbent. I was a bit concerned about the width, because I knew my husband's walker would have to go over part of it to get to the toilet. I needn't have worried. The mat is incredibly thin, yet very solid. There is no nap. Most mats are shaggy or are soft microfiber. This has solid rubber on the bottom, a very thin fill, then solid top. The the walker goes right over, and his left foot, which catches because of the stroke, doesn't trip him. It absorbs water immediately and dries quickly. I'm sure it'll be easy to clean. My only complaint is that it smelled HORRID when I opened the box. The rubber has an awful smell. It seems to be abating since laying it down in the bathroom. I don't notice the odor quite as much. But, the temporary odor is a small price to pay for safety. The mat doesn't budge an inch, not at all. I have no doubt that I'll be able to vacuum it without movement. It came folded, but it's laying fairly flat already, after 1 day on the floor. The blue is true to photograph color. I bought this particular mat because of its thinness, knowing that it could be returned if my husband had a problem using his walker over it. I needn't have worried. The mat does what it's meant to do, and it does it safely with 2 disabled people in the household. I highly recommend it, especially if you have a disabled person in the house. It's safe to use with a walker and I'm sure, will work well with a wheelchair. Read more

I needed a bathroom mat, for in front of my sink for our basement bathroom. We just updated it, but unfortunatley were not thinking when we laid down tile. The floor gets super cold in the winter, and you absolutely can not stand on it barefoot. Also, the door is so close to the floor, that any rug that would be by the sink kept getting caught under the door. This is the perfect size as it is low profile. While thin, it's thick enough to keep your bare feet from freezing. It also does a great job of absorbing water, and dries quickly. The rubber backing keeps it from sliding, which is important for a bathroom rug. Overall, for the price, it fits my needs perfectly! Read more

The bath mat works really well, water is absorbed when stepping out of the shower and it does not go through to the floor. When I am done with it, I hang the mat over the tub edge and it dries very quickly. My only regret is that the small size I ordered is a bit too small; water splashes outside the edges of the mat when I get out of the shower of bath. If I ordered again I would get a bigger size. But, it's a good product that works to absorb water. (Added- the mat doesn't slip when in use. We do not leave it on the floor when not in use because our bathroom is small and anything on the floor could be a tripping hazard.) Read more

Mine stink! Got 2 small gray ones. Whole house smells of rubber. Tossed them out into the night! Will try washing and airing them, but they may have to become thin doormats. They are thin, which I need to clear the bottom of a door, and absorbent enough. Read more

It looks like the picture. The color is true to the picture. It lays flat and does not slide. Your shower door will skim right over it. Very slight padding. I think its the perfect thickness for a bathroom so no one trips or slips. Even though its thin, Its does pick up enough water while you dry off. Read more

Bought 5 of these mats, 3 for the bathroom and 2 for the kitchen and then the same brand but longer one for in front of the kitchen sink. Wished they would have carried them in brown as this light color picks up everything. I haven't put them in the was although they state they are washable. Love the non slip backing and the texture of the mat is great! Hoping to keep an eye open to see if they eventually will sell in a darker brown - would buy again. Read more

My main concern was not slipping on a very slippery tile bathroom floor. It does that 100%. Minimalist design looks nice to me, it's thin enough to not interfere with the bathroom door, and it does not skid on the floor. The only issue is - as mentioned in other reviews - that it comes folded and not rolled, so when you lie it flat the areas where it was folded are slightly raised. It is not raised at the edges and while I wish it did lie 100% flat - it's good enough. Will it eventually 'relax' and lie flat? Don't know, don't care. For the price I'm happy with my purchase.
