The potty pads at first site like super thin looking but longer then typicall potty pads. So if you are like I waand thought that I'd have a huge mess. Although I don't. They worked and are perfect for my dog to go potty night or day. And they were such a great price great deal. I didn't escape the smell of urine tho. I bought these Chux pads for my sick senior dog who was having a hard time keeping food or water down as well as having the occasional bathroom accident. I use these as "puppy" pads for a cat that has issues because traditional puppy pads often have something on them to attract the animal to use them. I don't want that, I just want to protect my carpet from accidents. These are incredibly thin and fragile, they rip and tear very easily, especially the backing, which then makes that part of the pad not waterproof. Having worked in healthcare for over 30 years, I would not think these would work well on an adult AT ALL. They also move around and bunch up easily. I'd get something thicker and more expensive if you want them for an adult that will actually move around on them. As it is, for a cat, since they like to "bury" their stuff, it gets folded over unless I weigh the edges down with something. Read more
