Perfect pill organizer for peace of mind!

I’ve been looking for a pill organizer for my aging mother who has gotten forgetful with her meds. We had a scare late last year with double dosing and I am SO relieved to have found Med Center. It’s easy to use and keeps everything very organized. Very sturdy, size is actually perfect for the kitchen, and the time reminder is really cool! Very grateful for the peace of mind this product has given me! Read more

A simple design offering a solid solution

This product solves multiple problems in a simple way. 31 four chamber, plastic pill holders are filled with a day's worth of medications. The plastic holders look familar-they have four chambers, each chamber has a snap lid, and is labeled for the time of day: morning, afternoon, etc. Each individual daily holder has a day of the month stamped on each end. One end is red, one end is green. After they are filled, they are placed vertically in the med-center holder. We have the green ended number up and showing for days not yet used. When the day is over, we turn it over, placing the red ended number vertically in its place, indicating the pills have been taken. There is a simple, stand alone talking clock with timers that is placed in front of the unit, where one also places next to the clock, the plastic pill holder for that day. The space in front is labeled, "Today's pills" The clock itself is easy to set and use. There are raised slides on the back for setting time, timers, etc. On top of the clock are colored buttons. The green button, when depressed, speaks the day, date, and time. The red button is used to acknowledge and stop the speaking alarm, which speaks the action needed-"good morning, it's time for your morning pills" If you press the red button at anytime, it will speak the next time for medication you have set. There is a button that turns on the little light on the clock. The beauty is in the simplicity. One can set the speaking voice to loud, or extra loud. It's a good volume. The only possible drawbacks I could see are: The individual chambers have a snap lid that is snug. Those with serious arthritis or hand issues may find it tight. The chambers are standard size-if you take large vitamins, or tons of pills, space could be an issue. The clock-it is so simple and intuitive to set, but as with any clock, those with cognitive issues will likely require assistance in first setting it up. After it has been set-up, however, the user should find the large, colored buttons in front quite easy to use. I like that the clock is stand alone, and so is each individual day. My mom, really, can place the clock, and her daily plastic holder on the table next to her chair, and return the empty holder back to its slot at the end of the day. Or, she can leave both in their spot in front of the unit, forcing her to stand up to answer the clock, and take her pills. Well done on this product. Read more

Dad wanted to hate it but LOVES IT!

Lots of pills, every day? This tower made it foolproof. Bad eyesight, doesn't matter-dates are large, colors are easy! It's big, but it's EFFECTIVE and EASY. Sometimes snaps are tough but still worth it for the peace of mind and independence this provides. And ONCE A MONTH filling. No more weekly headache. Returned and purchased a second one so I can go on a vacation and not worry about Dad's pills!!!! Dad can travel and take the days containers he needs. Read more

Best pain in the butt ever

Bought for my elderly mother who could not remember to take medications. We used to use the organizers that stated days of the week, but she would not know what day of the week it was. In short it was a big mess just barely better than nothing. This thing is spot on , however. The red/green color labels, date vs day, and the wonderful talking timer... It just works so well. Actually the talking timer is hard to understand, but Imade her live thru it for 2 weeks just to get used to the process. The beep alarm is sufficient. Now that she is used to the red "done", green "next" labels , we don't have to really know what day it is, but the LED gives her a visual cue in case of confusion. My mother curses the alarm on a daily basis, but we have not missed a single dose since we started using this system. WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE FOR THAT. The timer is fairly easy to set, I bought an ac adapter, but it is still running on the original batteries we started with, the alarm is set 4 x per day and frequently goes off for an hour or so before she wakes to hear it. I will probably never use the adapter unless I run out of batteries. BUT there is a huge downside for the one filling this organizer- all those little boxes have 4 separate, hard to open lids -I fill a month at a time; this takes an hour or so and a whole tabletop to do . Then if a script is changed, added or removed another hour for maintenance. We have had script changes 7 times in the past month This IS A PAIN , but it is worth it to me. But I've had lots experience with caregivers-friends & family, home health workers,etc.. and I have not encountered very many that would reliably provide the due dilligence to properly maintain this system. This is something you don't want somebody filling during commercials, or while in a hurry to get on to the next patient down the road. Just sayin' Read more

Best tool for aging/forgetful person

Mom (72) wasn't taking her multiple meds/supplements as directed. I purchased this organizer and it has helped IMMENSELY. The alarm is annoying as heck until you turn it off and makes it a perfect tool for anyone hard of hearing or who is forgetful. We've had it over a year now, batteries still work, and the writing has started to fade on some of the pill boxes but some sharpie fixes that right up! Can't recommend this enough for the beloved boomers in our lives. Read more

Works Great!

I bought this for myself as I keep forgetting to take my medication. I am 41. Even though you can use it four times a day I use it three times a day. It has an option to where you can skip a time that you’re not using your medication. I love how it talks to you to notify you about taking your medication, if it wouldn’t notify me, then I wouldn’t be able to take my medicine because again I would forget. The only downfall is, it’s very hard to open the containers. Other than that, I give it five stars. Read more
