I love using Vitamin C on my skin and wanted to try this on my skin. I was going through a rough patch, skin wise, and had some bumpy texture and hormonal breakouts going on. I wanted a richer moisturizer for night time with an active ingredient that wouldn’t be too harsh. The customizable factor of this product is really interesting. The packaging suggests certain ratios of the capsules and the gel, depending on your skin type. I started out using half a capsule then moved up to a full capsule, before going back down to half. The reason I went back down to half is because I was using up the capsules and was left with a lot of the jelly. I feel like it helped with the issues I mentioned above: texture became smoother, breakouts calmed, and I woke up with skin that felt moisturized. It also seemed to help slightly with evening out my skin’s color. I will say that this product is quite sticky and does half a slight fragrance to hit (kinda like citrus?). The scent doesn’t bother me but I do apply this at least an hour before bed because it makes my pillowcase stick to my skin. The stickiness is gone by morning. Now that I’m down to the last bits, I just mixed up all of the capsules and jelly (pictured). I feel like it still works just as well and I haven’t noticed any difference in the effects. I loved this product. From the first time I used it, my skin felt super hydrated, soft and with a healthy glow without looking greasy. Vitamin C capsules feel fresh when applied and are quickly absorbed, leaving the skin more luminous and even. It didn't cause me irritation or outbreaks, and I have sensitive skin with acne tendency. With constant use I have noticed that my skin looks clearer, hydrated and with better texture. I would definitely buy it again and I recommend it if you are looking for hydration and real glow. This is actually the best moisturizer I’ve ever used! It hydrates my skin so well and not heavy at all. And no irritation whatsoever when my skin was a bit sensitive. I pair this with PDRN pink peptide serum from the same line ( medicube ). I just love how it feels on my skin and how hydrated and plumped my skin is after applying this. Definitely recommend! Excellent - love it. The capsules are fun and it’s nice to be able to adjust the ratio of gel to capsules to match my skin’s needs when applying. For nighttime application I use more capsule content than daytime where I use more gel, for instance, which is pretty cool. This makes my skin really soft and hydrated. I have mature, naturally dry skin and use a ton of different products because I’ve become obsessed with skin care, and love trying new products and “breakthrough” ingredients. This is my first gel + capsule cream and it didn’t disappoint - I’ve always bypassed these since I thought they seemed a bit gimmicky, but the ability to adjust it, and the performance of these ingredients on my skin has made me a believer. It took me a couple of uses to get the hang of it, cuz applying gel then capsule directly to face was messy / tricky for me, but I just put the little blob of capsule + gel on my fingers, blend together with both hands then apply to face, and goes on easily and evenly. It layers really well with other products, including actives & bioactives, and can stand alone when I only have time for one or two products. I think the cost is fair and a good value. I’m a fan of many medicube products and glad they’ve added this to their line - will purchase again for sure. Read more
