ive had this for about two weeks. not long but this is what ive observed, it was very easy to set up, refill and use. i carry it to kitchen sink, wipe out the bottom and lid and refill from my Berkey water purifier. then carry it back to my nite stand. filled to Optimal line it lasts 3- 4 days before refill. there is still water in it but I dont let it go all the way empty. setting is low to mid range. there has been zero particulate matter sprayed in air, (because of the purified water i use), zero dampness on surfaces in fall out zone. the light is a very muted pleasant light that can be left on while you sleep as a nite light without being disruptive. I dont notice a decrease in bloody nose or my dry eyes at this setting. my room is medium sized. I am happy with the purchase so far. I wish the lid had bigger notches to grab on to remove it. Im not sure if it has a shut off valve when emptied which makes me nervous. It is SO QUIET that unless you leave the light on its easy to forget its on, hence my worry about auto shut off. UPDATE: its been a few weeks of daily use during winter. so far no problems. I clean it once a week, with lite soap and water and let it air dry. i top it every other day but it can run for at least 4 days without refilling. my setting is below half way mark. no mildew, no dust, no drips. i did notice some fibrous slimy growth, very small in bottom one week. some slight scale on the sides and on the center pipe which comes off with the rough side of a sponge. I use berky filtered water, not deionized water which would be too expensive as you would use a gallon a week. my nosebleeds have lessened as have my dry eyes . tip, use a black marker on the setting dial line to help see it better. not sure why they didnt do that. i would recommend this Read more

When this arrived i had to test it out first. Added filtered water (I tripple filtered my Fridge water dispenser) to the tank. Plugged it in. Turned the light on rotated the know to high and waited and waited, and waited. Nothing. I was like okay, this with take time. So i leave it on and go back to work in my home office. 1.5hrs later after i log off i go to check on this and still nothing. I read the manual and nothing popped out as far as initial use / setup. So i unplugged it and took the tank off and was getting ready to dump the water to repackage it. While moving the base around The float was just moving like its suppose to then the tinker in my had to check it out. Well shoot! Wouldn't you know, there was a white foam piece attached to the underside of the float (i guess used as a spacer to keep it from moving a lot during shipment) so i took it off and decided to reassemble everything again and try for test #2. Well, still nothing. So i stood back realized the tank is now crooked a little. I realigned the tank again carefully and BAM it started vaping more than my vape device. I didnt know the difference between a cold or warm mist. Yes the mist is cool to the feel rather than warm. I needed this for my grandson (14mo old) for when he gets sick and congested his breathing gets bad, will be testing him for asthma soon too. I feel the room he sleeps in gets really dry and cold so i placed a small space heater in there and run this machine. The room gets up to 82F and about 30%humidity (before this purchase) and now the humidity hovers around 40-55% and he sounds much better. I've added the approve peppermint essential oil to mix with the water and can barely smell it. I've also tried citrus with better results and tea tree oil as will. The tee tree is best so far but not sure if he should be smelling that while sleeping. So i use either citrus or peppermint so far. I also dont know how much to put in either. I'm only adding about 5 drops to the almost gallon tank. On the high setting the unit dont quite make it to 9rhs. The first morning after using it, the tank was dry but the room had humidity. The second night, after filling it full, i set it to half power and the water was at half in the morning. Overall, j'm satisfied with the unit and would recommend. My daughter thinks i spent $100 bucks on this, lol. little does she know. Read more

So I had an older humidifier I used for my health with a water tank too small and unable to handle tap water. When looking for a new one, a humidifier that could filter out all the stuff in tap water with a larger tank was key. After looking at this humidifier from Megawise, I decided to try it out. It's been a few weeks since getting it and it's done pretty well overall. In fact, I only have two complaints that keep me from giving it 5 stars. The first complaint is that the humidifier shoots the mist straight up from the device. It needs to be angled so it's easier for the mist to spread out wide into the air. My last complaint is that while it does have a filter for water to pass through first, it doesn't seem to do all that great a job removing minerals and whatnot from said water. (As evidenced by the amount of white that has appeared on furniture and other items in my room.) Maybe the filter just fills up quickly, or maybe I should be concerned about how much stuff is in my tap water. All said and done, if you have a fan or something to blow the mist outward from the side and don't mind buying distilled water than much, then go ahead and buy it. Read more

VERY disappointed---if you check deep into the reviews the MegaWise is 7 colors that stream or you can choose you color---NO you have the choice of nothing or red, blue, yellow, etc...changing every few seconds---I wanted to choose a nice one choice for the entire night. I called the help number and was asked if I could send a photo of the words on this site. No, I do not have time to do that--it's MedaWise and it is from CHINA. Avoid this and choose another---this came a month after I ordered it. Read more
