The Meiwaltee Rivet Gun Kit is a solid, well-made tool that’s perfect for both beginners and experienced DIYers. Right out of the box, the rivet gun feels sturdy and comfortable in the hand, with a smooth squeezing action that doesn’t require excessive force. It makes installing rivets quick, clean, and hassle-free. One of the biggest highlights is the included 200-piece rivet assortment in multiple sizes (3/32”, 1/8”, 5/32”, and 3/16”). This variety covers most common household, automotive, and metalworking tasks, so you don’t have to buy extra rivets separately. The different nozzle sizes are easy to swap, which adds to the convenience. I’ve used this kit for gutter repairs, small metal brackets, and automotive trim, and it performed consistently well. The rivets set firmly, and the gun ejects mandrels smoothly without jamming. The ergonomic handles help reduce hand fatigue, even during longer projects. Overall, this is an excellent all-in-one rivet gun kit that delivers strong performance at a reasonable price. If you’re looking for a dependable hand riveter with plenty of rivets included, the Meiwaltee Rivet Gun Kit is a great choice. Highly recommended for home repairs and DIY projects. Read more

Works well with aluminum rivets. The mechanical advantage of long handles ensure ease of setting larger rivets. A bit clumsy to use with the smallest rivets supplied, because the tool is huge compared to a tiny 3/32" diameter rivets. For setting large rivets, especially 1/4" diameter aluminum, this tool is ideal. 1/4" stainless steel rivets are difficult to set with this tool because poor quality stainless rivets "pop" prematurely, leaving a loosely set rivet. I've had an inexpensive rivet gun before 25 years ago and never had an issue with it. Thought I'd get another one to secure some aluminum to a gate. This one did not work for me however. First problem: it has four rivet heads and four bags of rivets. Three of the rivet heads fit the respective three bags or rivets, but the medium size bag of rivets did not fit in the medium head. So 3 of 4 rivets included fit, but the size I wanted did not have a head that fit. So I could either use a rivet head that allowed a lot of wiggle, or not use that bag of rivets in the diameter I wanted. Second problem: this rivet gun was much harder to use than the one I had 25 years ago. It doesn't form the rivet cleanly, doesn't cut off the rivit easily. The first two after I squeezed the handle fully, to try and cut off the stem I wiggled it enough that the rivet pulled back out of the hole. The hole was drilled the size of the rivet, not too large, so the rivet just hadn't really formed. I got one good one and two bad ones. Overall, not good. I will buy a different one. Read more

I have used this rivet gun on my car to attach Velcro strips on a Corvette tee-top liner panel. Not only did the rivets grip perfect but they also match the surrounding factory rivets installed in 1971. Read more
