Overall, the Melissa & Doug Play Money Set is a great educational toy, but be aware of the potential for mess due to the open-top storage box. It’s high quality, with sturdy coins and a durable wooden "cash drawer" for sorting. I appreciate that the paper bills and plastic coins are familiar-looking and close in size to real currency, which enhances the imaginative play experience and learning accuracy. Awesome money set. We use this for homeschooling and it has been a great addition to our math manipulatives. It is all life size bills and coins. I do wish it had a top or lid because it can easily be knocked over and all topple out and since it is such a large item to store it would be helpful to have a lid. Read more

Great money set for teaching counting change or any other type of money math.. Before this, I had purchased a cheap plastic money set at a Dollar Store, (don't get me wrong, it got me by), but all the coins looked the same, and it was difficult discerning the difference between a nickel, a quarter, etc. when they all looked the same ! When I saw this on Amazon, I knew I had to buy it because I school my son at home, and we are right in the middle of "money," and my boys like to play store while they are learning how to count back change..I wanted them to have something very life-like, sturdy, and that had enough bills/coins to make change when teaching. I am greatly satisfied with this set.. The wooden box that it comes with is nice and strong, not flimsy or weak.. There are more than enough coins and bills provided. And I was very happy to see that they included $50 dollar bills, along with 50 cent pieces. Whatever reason for purchasing this, you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED !!!
