I discovered the MelodySusie plant based gel polish line a little while back and have quickly become a huge fan of it. I love that these polishes are not only HEMA-free but also free of other common harmful ingredients that are found in gel polishes. Plus they're made with plant based ingredients. Whether you're getting a single polish in this brand or a multi pack, the packaging that they come in is always super nice to the point that they're definitely worthy of being given as a gift. The bottles that the polish comes in are also one of my favorite nail polish bottles I've ever used. There's nothing crazy fancy about the bottles and in fact, they actually resemble a golf ball but I absolutely love that they have the slanted side so you can lean the bottle on It's side while you're using it. This makes using the polish so much easier. Most of the time you have to get a holder in order to angle your bottles but these bottles completely eliminate that. You get 16.5ml of product in the bottle and with this polish, I chose this black color. The polish is really easy to use but I will say it's extremely important with this black color especially but with all the polishes that you apply them in very thin coats. If you don't use a thin coat, the polish won't cure properly. This black required two coats to and this is because of applying the coats very thin. If you get enough pay off from one coat, you're using to much polish in that coat. Once cured with a top coat added, the polish is stunning. I only used this polish as an accent on certain nails but after two weeks, it still looked as good as the day I applied it. The scent of these polishes is another great thing about them. This line of polishes is actually suppose to be scented like a variety of different things but to be honest, I've never been able to tell what any of the polishes smell like, just that they smell lovely. The scent of them is nothing like what you're normally use to with gel polish which is great. Overall, I'm a huge fan of these polishes and would highly recommend them! As long as you use the polish properly, they're wonderful to work with! Read more
Shaun and Lisa—December 30, 2025
I received this gel nail polish, and I'm happy with the color and overall quality. The yellow shade is vibrant and matches the description well. The formula is thick, but I've managed to work with it without any major issues. The brush that comes with it is decent, allowing for fairly precise application. It has good coverage since the formula is relatively thick. The bottle design is certainly unique, with a tilt-and-stand feature that's both functional and space-saving. I appreciate the thought that went into making it easy to access the polish and control the amount that comes out. The scent is subtle and pleasant, adding a nice touch to the overall experience. For $9.49, I think it's a bit pricey for a single bottle of nail polish. However, the quality and performance are good, and the plant-based formula is a plus. The color is definitely a standout, and I've received compliments on my manicure. If you're looking for a good gel polish and don't mind the price, this one is worth considering. Read more
Really Long Reviews—December 21, 2025
This review is for MelodySusie gel nail polish in the color Bridal Pink. What's interesting about this polish is the supposed sweet scent. Others remarked not smelling it but I definitely do. The thing is, I didn't smell it the first time I used it, but the second time, as if it had to air out after opening or something. The scent is reminiscent of a clean soap scent and it isn't overpowering. It was not a selling point of the polish for me, however it was a pleasant break from the nasty smell of gel primer and base coat. The application of this polish didn't go quite smoothly because it is so thick. Right out of the bottle there was globs of polish and I found the paddle brush challenging to work with. When I failed to float the polish due to thickness, I gave up on that technique entirely and simply applied thin coats to the best of my ability. Luckily the polish is workable after applying and before curing, but as a hobby nail artist and not professional I found said application to be somewhat difficult. Also, I noticed some air bubbles in the polish, even though I have a habit of gently rolling my polishes (rather than shaking) before application so as to minimize bubbles as much as possible. It did not ruin the design or anything but I didn't notice it until after curing when it was too late. I cured with LED. I'm a little disappointed in the bottle design because the size makes it seem like I'm getting a lot of polish when in fact I had to dip down pretty far to get the product. Otherwise I think it's a unique cute bottle. I am going to keep the high rating because I'm no nail professional so it's possible the polish is flawed based on my own beginner skill and techniques. The color is definitely beautiful and one of my favorites to wear so I imagine I'll be updating this review with a finished photo shortly after posting. Read more
EZ Peezy—January 12, 2026
I am pleasantly surprised by this one, and I am happy about that. To be honest, I did not know “vegan” polish existed… & I sure didn’t know other polishes were not vegan. I have not fallen down that rabbit hole yet, but I DID try this polish out on some fake tips (in case I wanted to take them off & do something different) & was shocked at how high quality it was. Truly could have done just one coat & been fine. I was covering up a different idea I had started w/ & than scrapped. So 2 coats it was. But it self-leveled & dried great. Also, the packaging was superb! Really tip notch, high quality. I also love the shape of the bottle. It is round so you can easily hold it, but you can also stand it up… or there is a flat edge so you can lean it on its side. Which is great for when it’s starting to run low. ***PLEASE NOTE, YOU MUST CURE W A UV LAMP, as it’s a GEL POLISH*** At under $10/bottle, I will be ordering many more colors! 10/10 Read more
