These filters, especially the membrane, out perform the OEM filters from GE and at more than half the price! I'm getting an incredible rejection rate and life from these membranes. On average I can run these for easily 18+ months before I start to see minor increases in TDS and at about 24+ months its usually time to replace the membrane with TDS toping out in the ~90's. Data behind how well these are working. My water is from a Well with a source TDS of 240. Water enters a sediment filter (type spin down filter for well sediment), into Acid Neutralizer (which increases the TDS to 380), post neutralization, the water hits a GE whole house filter (carbon), then off to the faucets and other locations. The RO system: Pre RO Source Water TDS: ~380 Post RO Water TDS: ~10 That is a ~97% rejection rate!!! The standard 3x the cost GE Membrane at its best would only have a rejection rate go 68%! Clearly not even close! Matter of fact, even at its worst performance, 2 years of filtration, these membranes from "Membrane Solutions" out perform the "GE". All the data simply means the membrane is removing the most of the TDS from the water. It is indeed impressive. Clearly, this is a win for anyone looking to replace their current membrane. The carbon filters work just as any other carbon filter, I typically replace them every 6 months, with the first stage of filtration showing the brunt of all the work, the second carbon filter has no visible signs of stress, they are "white" while the first stage is clearly showing "brown", having filtered the water of larger segments and impurities. This is my go to set! Read more
