I was pleasantly surprised throughout the whole process with this product. PACKAGING & UNPACKING: First, the packaging it arrived in was minimal which was nice. It was not very heavy which made me nervous, thinking it wasn't as thick as advertised. I got it opened up (was in a cardboard box & shrink-wrapped in plastic wrap, not too difficult to unwrap on my own). Had a slight factory-like odor when I first unwrapped it but it dissipated very fast. I left it about 24 hours & it expanded to full size in that time. It recommends 48 hours but I found it was full size within 24 as far as I could tell. There was no smell by the time it had fully expanded. SETUP When I took it out of the box I laid it on the bare mattress right off, so I wouldn't have to wrestle with it. It was not too difficult to get the sheets over it when it was laying atop the mattress, I managed to do it on my own without too much trouble. USE & COMFORT It had no smell to it at all within 24 hours in my experience. I found no need to air it out at all. I put some lavender aromatherapy spray on the bed once I had put the sheets back on it, expecting there to be a smell once I laid down, but there wasn't. It was significantly more comfortable than I expected. I have hip & knee problems, & I found even just the 2" pad to be a major improvement with my comfort, ability to get to sleep & stay asleep. I find it is supportive but soft, & it takes me significantly less time to get to sleep. WOW! What a great night’s sleep. My 1st night after receiving this memory foam mattress I sleep like a baby! I was given the opportunity after receiving the foam mattress to let it “air out” outside. I put it on some cardboard boxes and left it for about 4 or 5 hours, at least. It did have a very strong chemical smell at first, but, 99% of the smell is gone. Only when I woke up this morning, to my alarm clock, was I able to catch a very faint smell of the chemical. I actually had to put my face in the memory foam mattress to smell it though. The was PERFECT, all four corners meet the corners of my queen mattress. I am a very “hot” sleeper and was worried about being too hot while sleeping on this memory foam, NOPE, nice and cool and extremely comfortable. I have another queen mattress that I am seriously considering on making another purchase for. I have used other foam mattresses that were comfortable, but hands down, this is one of the best I’ve sleep on. The memory foam mattress definitely meet and exceeded my expectations. I have back and rib pain due to a trauma that make it difficult to sleep. My current mattress is about the same as camping on the ground so I decided to give this a try as a new mattress is not in my budget right now. I read a lot of reviews and fully expected to be knocked down by the smell when I opened this thing. However I did not smell anything. I stuck my face against it and did smell a slight smell. I doing plan to sleep like this so I don't see this causing a problem. I unrolled itand thought there is no way this thing is going to cover my whole mattress. It is so neat how this grew to the size of my bed. I was rolling around on it before it had finished expanding and lket me tell you this is very comfy. It offered the cushioin and support I needed to help my pain however after a while I sink allk the way so I start hurting and still have to move around. I imagine some sort of pillow top will make this perfect and for the price it is just great. My kids fdont sink all the way like I do and if a persons bed wasn't extremely hard to start with I doubt this would be a problem. I highly recommend. Read more

I've been looking for a reasonable mattress topper for a long time. I've also been suffering from back pain and needed something that would relieve the pressure. My bed is way too firm, but too new to go and buy a new mattress. I found this and after reading the reviews decided to take a chance and order it. It arrived very quickly and once I got it, I took it out of the box to let it air out and expand. Yes there is an odor, but it is to be expected. After a couple of hours I put it on my bed and laid down on it. WOW!!! It formed to my body, but super comfortable. I normally sleep only 4-5 hours a night because I'm constantly up, but I'm now sleeping almost a full 8 hours. I haven't slept this good in a long time. Also the back has been feeling a lot better since putting this on my bed. I would highly recommend this mattress topper and the price is awesome too. Read more

Just as advertised. I was a little skeptical at first because my old one WITHOUT the gel swirl made me sweat during the night, but not this one! I love this one!! Awesome & comfy, finally a great sweat-less night's sleep without ripping the covers off of me! I definitely recommend. As with any other memory foam topper you should open it flat & lay it somewhere for a couple days before using it just to air it out, even tho this particular brand didn't smell bad as previous ones that Ive had. Its just a little gel type smell is all, not a bad chemical smell as others have. I do put mine a in zip up cover just to protect it & prolong its life plus i can simply remove cover & wash it. If you dont have a zip up cover you can just put a mattress pad over it if you desire. It will last many years this way & keep it clean Read more
