Discussion: I'm medium build and normally select 'medium' on clothes. I looked at the size chart which appears just below the size choices in the listing. Per the sizing charge I selected 'large'. This fits fine but I'll say it is a little on the snug side. Depending on how a person likes their gym clothes to fit they may want to even select a size larger than the chart if they are on a border. My disclaimer is my waist is around 34-35". So it may be my fault and I should have selected XL. No deductions because of this. The garment itself is mostly made of Polyester with some Spandex. Does feel like it will dry quickly and is nice and light. Stitching is top notch and overall construction is very solid. There are 2 pockets in the front which are zippered. I question if my large cell phone will fit. It does without issue. There is a pocket and towel holder on the back. The tie on the waist is a little springy like the rest of the shorts. Overall I like what I'm seeing with this product. Pros: -- Very lightweight -- Seems like it drys quickly -- Pockets are deceivingly large and will fit even a large cell phone -- Like the fact pockets are zippered to keep things secured -- The compression lining helps keep those things in place -- Nice wide waist band is comfortable -- Springy waist tie doesn't impede movement when working out Cons: -- I'd say sizing runs smaller than the norm. Particular attention needs to be paid looking at the chart -- I like red but I caution to only wash with red, not sure if this will bleed and I'm not willing to risk testing it Bottom Line: Very nice set of gym shorts that will serve me well. I’m not usually someone who likes to step too far outside my comfort zone when it comes to workout shorts. To put that in perspective, the pair I wear most often are Under Armour shorts I bought on December 31, 2013 from Zappos. So trying a new pair with a built-in liner was a bit of a departure. The liner actually turned out to be more comfortable than I expected. It provides some support without feeling restrictive, and it stays in place well during movement. The outer shorts are lightweight and dry quickly, which is exactly what you want for running, gym workouts, or anything where you’re going to sweat a bit. The zipper pockets are a nice addition as well. They’re useful for keeping a phone or keys from bouncing around or falling out while moving. Fit is good and the 5-inch length feels athletic without being overly short. The material has enough stretch to move comfortably during workouts. The color is vibrant and has a certain “I’m definitely not Lululemon” confidence to it. Really comfortable pair of shorts that I wear mainly around the house. I got these to fit snug in a medium and the fit was as expected. The compression liner isn't overly aggressive so that helps with the comfort. I wouldn't normally pick a sage green color but it turns out they look good on me. Overall fabric quality is good, they have some stretch/flex which is what you want for gym shorts. Pockets are good depth and they all zip so the phone and keys don't fall out. These shorts are one of my top favorite brands. They are super comfortable, they fit great, they look great. The colors are true to the images. They fit great even if you have some butt and thigh like me. The small still fits exceptionally well. The length is perfect for those of us who want shorts and not slightly shorter pants. Runs extremely small. Which is so bad because they would be excellent otherwise. Order these for my husband in a size larger so they would be longer on him. He wears a large in everything and couldn't get these on. I tried them on and they almost fit me perfectly with a little room for squats. I'm a women's medium. Pics are of shorts on me. They were only slightly big in the waist like a women's large and of course the front was big as I'm not a man. These are some solid shorts. Zippered pocket to hold your goodies safe. Color is a beautiful burnt orange. Material is moisture wicking. Stitching is impeccable. Very well made shorts. If sizing wasn't so far off they would definitely be 5 stars. If they made these in women, I'd invest in a few colors. Read more
