I bought these for my husband as a “let’s see how they compare” purchase because he usually wears lululemon and Vuori. I honestly didn’t expect much at this price point, but we were both surprised by how good they are. The fabric is super soft; that smooth, slightly stretchy performance material that feels lightweight but not flimsy. They have that same elevated athleisure vibe as his higher-end shorts. The drape is flattering, they don’t cling in weird places, and they still look structured enough to wear out to dinner after the gym. He’s picky about waistbands and fit, and he immediately commented on how comfortable these are. No digging in, no constant adjusting, and the length hits in that perfect modern spot (not too short, not too long). The stitching and overall construction feel solid, nothing about them feels cheap dupe. After a few washes, they’ve held their shape and softness, which honestly impressed me the most. He’s already asked me to order another pair, which says everything because he normally defaults to his luxury brands. Hands down the best pair of gym shorts I’ve ever worn. Never going to waste my money on Lululemon ever again. The shorts are a great length, super comfortable, and efficient for working out / athletic movements. I’ve always struggled my whole life with gym shorts as they’d ride up during quick movements. Can confidently say the Stay Smiling brand shorts not only don’t do this but exceed expectations. Comfortability is a key component when working out / lounging even and these shorts are perfect for you if that is what you’re looking for. I’ve worn the shorts now for long distance runs, speed runs, weight lifting, and lounging around the house and am happy to say they have been perfect in all scenarios.
