My husband is on a weight-loss program, and he has the happy problem that his pants no longer fit. We don't want to invest in new slacks until his size settles out -- so an adjustable belt seemed like a good idea. This is perfect! It looks nice. Not "oh wow that is gorgeous," but it goes with everything -- and it certainly does not look cheap. It fits true to size and has precision adjustments. I like the rich darker brown color which is consistent throughout the weave of the belt. I like that the material of the weave is full and tight so when I pull the belt to pull the tongue through to fasten there aren't any "see through gaps." The material is soft and pliant to my touch not stiff or brittle. I've only been wearing it several weeks yet it seems colorfast; there's no transfer to my pants or fading of color on the belt. I like the buckle which is silver though gold would be warmer. The buckle and tongue are held in place by leather which is tightly seen/stitched across the width and the length (3") on the belt end so there's no worries about being torn by repeating wearing/cinching tight. The other belt is capped by a folded piece of leather also held in place by strong stitching. This end goes through 2 leaher loops which hold the belt end in place for a nice attractive fit. Woven belts are my choice now that I am older. I like the comfortable fit and the fact I no longer struggle to fit the belt to my waist - manufacturers never did put a tongue hole where I needed one. When I wore leather belts I paid good money for quality materials but the color always seemed to scratch and wear after several months no matter how careful I was or how much it cost. This belt is a smart purchase across the board in my opinion: great price point; excellent color and fit; good materials make it attractive and functional. I believe it is durable based on my experience with other colors (previous purchases). This belt is a smart buy as it can be worn with jeans or a suit (though I am enough of an elitist that I retain a cummerbund for my tux). Buy one become a believer...be happy. These are nice belts. They are stretch belts so if you want them to function as a belt to help hold your pants up you need to order for the same size as the pants you wear or possibly the next size down. I ordered three different ones and went by the standard sizing method of two inches longer than my pants size. I ended up with 8” excess tail. I just reordered 31”-34” for my 35” waist size.
