A 3x with a 35” circumference waist (minimum) is ridiculous. The material is nice and breathable, the stitching is good, they have decent strechiness, but it’s no where near stretchy enough for a 3x to comfortably wear these underwear. 3 star is being generous. Were they properly sized, they would be a 5 star, easy, but these will cut a 3x in half at the waist, figuratively and semi-literally. The material is on-par with under-armour type material. I normally prefer slightly longer boxer briefs than these, but I really started to like them once I got used to it. They have just the right amount of stretch to them while still feeling soft. I probably could have ordered one size up, but they still fit comfortably. The stitching and material seem solid, but time will tell how they hold up with repeated washes and long term use. These are well constructed boxer briefs with a soft and thin cotton material with a touch of lycra for a firm fit and to reduce shrinking. While the fabric is regular cotton it feels softer, like pima cotton. The waistband is wide, doesn’t curl over and holds to my hips. I gave a pair a wash on delicate cycle in cold water and they dried on low heat. It maintained softness and shape. However, that’s just one wash. I can’t say what the long term durability will be at this point, but it has a good starting point at least. As you can see by the official pictures, these have a low rise, short leg design. As such I think they are more niche than my “go to” boxer briefs from Nordstrom, Brooks Brother’s and Tommy John. All of those are size medium like these from Texlina, but the fit is quite different. Where those sit at the belly these sit at the hips. This is the main reason the fit is so uneasy for me. I have a slight belly, not huge, but it’s there. If it were ¼” bigger these briefs would not fit right. So, really, these are best for slim guys. Where my other briefs have a fitted feel, they are not skintight. These, however, give my thighs a light bear hug, perhaps because of the lycra. It’s something for me to get use to. Additionally, the crotch area doesn’t give my “guys” a lot of breathing room. It’s not uncomfortable, just not what I’m used to. Size Medium briefs are typically a 32-34 waist. I wear a 31 waist jeans (with 5% spandex waistband) and 33 slacks. These come in a box but each is also individually tagged so could be used separately. The sizing is true and the colors are as pictured. The feel is perfect. These are the perfect blend of spandex and cotton so they have a slight elastic but the also form to the body nicely. The price is average. The quality is slightly above average and they look constructed well enough to get a lot of use. They would be good to wear during a workout due to the way they fit and the fabric still breaths. I really had high hopes for these. Everything about them, both on the website and in person, says quality. BUT the thing that killed it, was the sizing. The website says the smallest size, M, is 32-34 waist. Nope. Who are they kidding? I ordered L, and I have a 33 waist, and can barely tolerate having these on. They stretch nicely, but the waistband of the L is something like 30. The fabric stretches nicely too, but the L is not a true L, everything should be called one size smaller than they named it. These TEXLINA Men's Cotton Boxer Briefs are much shorter than most boxer briefs. They feel more like traditional tight whities style underwear. I prefer boxer briefs to cover more of my thighs down to my hamstrings for the compression and support. These are tight and slightly smaller than my preferences. I also am not a huge fan of the giant TEXLINA font all over the bands of these briefs. Unless it says Calvin Klein, I don't need a huge amount of branding on my waist line. Yes these are breathable and feel durable, but they are not my favorite pair of underwear for daily use. I do like that they have cotton for absorption at 95% Cotton and 5% Spandex. Read more
