To say that I was Pleasantly Surprised with this shoe may be the understatement of the year! In fact, on completion of this review, I'm going to order the same shoe in tan and white. For the price these shoes are excellent. I bought them to wear with a Indigo Blue and white , "Frank Nitty" pinstripe suit. The blues are an perfect match. I wear a 13 M, and the shoe fits well and is really comfortable. There was a slight oil smell when I first took the shoe out of the box, but the smell dissipated within an hour. Had planned to buy spats for a 20's-themed gathering. But the price of these shoes prompted me to buy the white & black wingtips. They delivered next day without any issue. The shoe quality far exceeded my expectations. While not leather, they are beautifully made. I normally wear a 12 1/2 D and the 13 was perfect. Even for dancing, they were comfortable shoes. When I first opened the box (very nicely packaged by the way), they smelled strongly of shoe polish. No color rubs off at all though and the smell dissipates. The shoes are very well designed. They are a little tight right out of the box, but they are comfortable after wearing them for a little while. I put them on and walked around the house for a few hours and they were not bad. I am glad I did that before I needed them for the wedding, it let them stretch out a little. They are very slick, so you may want to scuff them up a little. The "wood" look soles are a little thin and after a couple of slides, the look was already wearing off. Overall, not bad at all. I have similar shoes from a more expensive brand, and these are very close in quality. Though a D width, they fit me pretty well and I have a wide foot. I normally buy wider shoes, but these were such a bargain I thought I'd try. I expected to have to return them, but to my surprise they fit really well. Very pleased with my purchase. (Black and White pair) I also bought the (Brown and Tan pair) They fit as expected and I ordered them in my size (9) I have a wide foot and they did fit quite well. They do have a petrochemical type smell to them when you first take them out of the box, however you can air them out on your back porch or balcony for a day or two and the smell will go away. Ordered the Conrad3 Blue/White in a size 11 and they fit like a size 11. They came brand new, in their original box, and each shoe has it's own protective bag. My son was so excited to get these, he tried them on immediately (photo 2- indoor lighting) and loved them. He paired them with a cobalt blue tux and they matched perfectly (photo 1- outdoor lighting). My son has medium to wide feet and he said these shoes fit well. Even without breaking them in, they weren't tight and he didn't get any blisters after wearing them all night. If you have narrow feet, they might be too wide for you. They don't look or feel cheap. I never ordered dress shoes on Amazon before so I was a little nervous, but I think I lucked out. These shoes look great and are reasonably comfortable. The laces are not great, so maybe replace those, but other than needing to re-tie more often than I'd like, I've not had a substantial issue. Personal Anecdote: I wore these to the tux fitting for my brother's wedding where we were in grey with brown shoes, and the person managing the rental said she liked my shoes more than the rental shoes my brother had selected. I bought these shoes for a 1920's themed wedding, and was skeptical about whether or not they'd be any good. But they turned out to look great with my suit and so many people complimented me on them. Up close you might be able to see they aren't the best quality - but when you're wearing them, believe me they look pretty convincing. I've only worn them once and, given the very low price I paid for them, if I never wear them again I'll still be glad I got them in the first place. Read more
