I've had these shoes for three weeks now and I really dig them. I wear them constantly around the house like a jackass. At first my excuse was that I was breaking them in, but now I'm out if excuses as to why I wear them indoors. I just like to walear them. They look sleek and fit my feet like a condom. I've become obsessed with their appearance, watching shoe care tutorials on YouTube. And I've spent an embarrassing amount of time polishing these bad boys with a masterbatory obsession. A couple weeks ago I slipped on the ice and as I was catching my footing I marred the tip of my left shoe. I was devastated. But, a bit if polish, refine grit sandpaper, and an episode of The Crown later, they are back to 80%. Forewarning, much like owning a classic car you must be willing to turn a wrench, the same goes with leather shoes, you must be into maintenance. But, much like raising a child, the effort is what makes the experience so satisfying. Sure, I've own many bastard leather shoes in my past that I was too young to care for, but I'm looking down the path towards the future and couldn't imagine better company than these leather shoes. Toe area has a bump, which can even be seen in the product picture, that I didn't notice, which is caused by the plastice structure under the leather not set correctly during fabrication, or could be on purpose - either way, it takes away from, an othwise, very nice shoe. I will be keeping them since they were bought for the color and price...and almost nobody will even notice. Read more
